Zwift Click randomly disconnects during rides

During my rides, the Zwift Click randomly disconnects and I have to reactivate it by going to the menu. The firmware version is up to date and so is the app. I even changed the battery but no change. Can you help me?

Hi @P_Nicolas

Hi. Welcome to the forums. This is Haziel from Zwift. I’m glad you shared your concern here. I understand how having constant disconnection with your Zwift click might affect your experience with Zwift.

After reviewing the information on your account, I recommend you check that the settings on the game have virtual shifting on, please check this article In-Game Settings for Cycling.

Once you have confirmed this and if the issue persists please check this other article Zwift Click Connection Issues.

Especially the article for BLE or ANT+ troubleshooting.

I hope this helps, and if the issue persists, please contact us

I am also having the same issue with my Click. This started when I shifted from PC to my Android Tablet. It connects well - but then disconnect (almost looks like it goes to sleep) and I have to go back to pair/connect it manually after each disconnection. Really frustrating.

Hi @Haziel_P

Despite all the advice on the information pages on your site, the problem persists.

Zwift click always goes to sleep / or disconnects during my rides. It’s really annoying and frustrating.

Help me please.

I’m having the same issue. The connection between the Click and my Samsung A53 is lost after 5 to 10 minutes. Reconnecting was kind of impossible.
Up till October 2024 it worked flawless. The cause must be an update in Zwift or Samsungs One UI, but no one has an answer to the problem yet. As the Click is the only bluetooth device with a connection problem I think Zwift is the party to solve this. Till now the only suggestion I got is reinstalling the companion app.

I now use a new laptop with Blue-tooth (the old one, without bluetooth, died) and since then no problem at all.

Hi @Wil_Sistermans_60,

Welcome back to the Zwift forums! Jose from Zwift Support here.

I’ve checked your account and see that your Click is updated to version 1.1.0. In the past, we identified an ongoing issue where the Click, particularly with the Galaxy S6 Lite (and potentially other Samsung devices), can experience frequent disconnections at this firmware version.

A workaround that has helped other members is to keep your Click on firmware version 1.0.0 and avoid updating it to 1.1.0. You can see more about this in this forum thread.

If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reply here or contact us directly.

Thanks!

I tried several Samsung devices Phones: A53, Flip5, Fold5 and Tablet A9 SE. All have the same issue.
Avoiding the update is not possible, as it is already done. I reached out to support in February, but no real help (suggestion to reinstall Zwift and Zwift companion). I am quite disappointed there is still no real fix or even a possibility to downgrade to the earlier version of the firmware. The only option left is to use a non Samsung device.

So you’re saying there is no solution other than replacing the Click and hoping it comes with 1.0.0 firmware?

I have the exact same problem with my Click dropping out on an S6 lite. Why can’t Zwift offer a way to revert the firmware, especially as all the troubleshooting suggestions include updating to the latest firmware? Have support reached out with a new Click?
