How to reduce power quickly to get a star on rest intervals?

Hello Everyone, I’ve been doing workouts for a few weeks now and fail to obtain a star for some of the rest or cooldown sessions when they follow a high power session. I can’t get the power down smoothly and quickly even when I slow pedal as slow as I can. It’s a bit frustrating not getting all the stars when I am putting in a lot of effort in the rest of the session.

Just wondered if there’s a knack to this that I’ve missed.



About the only way I’ve been able to get stars in these situations is to feather the rear brake, in an effort to get the fly wheel to slow down fast enough.  It’s far from ideal, and usually I just accept that I won’t get stars on short rest intervals.
