I recently purchased a zwift ride, with the wahoo kickcore. Please could someone advise how I can reduce the resistance on the trainer, because the current load is causing a very low cadence, and trashing my knees. I have tried reducing the resistance in “hardware” and also have tried to change gears with the side handle bar buttons, nothing appears to lower the resistance or change gears
Do you see a gear display on the screen when you are riding?
For virtual shifting to work, the Ride needs to be paired under Controls on the pairing screen, the trainer needs to be paired via Bluetooth (if you have an ANT+ dongle in a PC or Mac, remove it to avoid pairing with it), the Virtual Shifting setting needs to be set to ON. The trainer also needs to be on the latest firmware in the Wahoo app.
Have you read the manual?
The same problem is with me. Received the new Zwift ride yesterday and set it up full of anticipation. Disappointment followed immediately. The Zwift pairing mode shows an empty field. The trainer is up to date, it’s probably due to the coupling of the handlebars. For me, the left blue light flashes while the right one stays on. Unfortunately there is no explanation for this. In addition, support can only be reached by email. I actually just wanted to go cycling, but instead I’m getting annoyed with the equipment again.
