Help with setup ANT /BT

Hello everyone! I’m a newbie and would like some advice with setup.
We have two wahoo kickrs, 1 Apple TV , 2 iPhones and am about to purchase a tv .
Here are my questions so far:

  1. My spouse and I will occasionally be riding together but mostly only one will be riding due to work schedule. Can we get by w 1 Apple TV box ? How easy/hard is it to switch riders?
  2. I understand ATV only has two open BT connections and that an ANT+ /BT bridge can be used to add/pair sensors. I also have a Wahoo element that supports ANT/BT . I was wondering if I could use that as a bridge ? Same question but my partner has a Garmin bike computer 610 I think? Can that be used as a bridge?
  3. Any specs or brands of tv that would optimize setup options !

Thanks in advance !
Kelly

Which model(s) of Kickr do you have? That will determine if you have some other pairing options.

I don’t think the cycling computers will do what you want. The WYÛR and CÔRD products from North Pole Engineering are designed for that, though their website has shown them as out of stock for ages. If you can find one that would do it. Most people use the Zwift Companion app for pairing multiple Bluetooth devices to Apple TV, but not ANT+. Why do you think ANT+ is needed?

I can’t imagine there’s a way for you two to ride together with a single ATv box (and 1 tv)

Hi Paul thanks for your message.
We have a KICKR v4 and a KICKR v5.
Well I was thinking since their are only two BT ports and I have a cadence and hem I could pair them to the element and then pair it w the Apple TV . My hrm is older and only has ANT.
But you are saying I could do the same through the companion app . Trying to not have any cables involved if possible . Ty

Hey John
Sorry I should have been more clear . After reading the forums it sounds like if we are both riding the best option is to have one of us on the TV and one on a laptop .But I was wondering how hard it is to switch from a laptop set up back to the ATV when riding solo. Ty

Also as I am shopping for a smart tv I’m assuming it needs Bluetooth capabilities to connect wirelessly … or is that covered by Apple TV ? Clearly I’m not a techie lol
