Greetings Crew, please assist if possible. On Sep 2024, during the Pinarello Powered races (Stage 2-Park Perimeter Loop), my trainer malfunctioned, as a result it catapulted my FTP (+10w) and moved me from Cat C to Cat B. I am nowhere near Cat B, I will gladly redo Stage 2 if available. Please feel free to review my numbers and assist in placing me back in the proper Category. Thank you kindly.
Email zwiftpower@zwift.com to ask about it
+10 on zFTP (what ZwiftHQ thinks you can hold for ~60mins) isn’t a huge jump, that could easily happen if a strong 3-6min effort just fell outside the 90 day rolling window.
Even if if was a turbo miscalibration, as far as I’m aware, Racing Score replaces Category Enforcement for the ZwiftHQ events like the zMonthly in October (which iirc, is going to be lots of different courses picked by community event organisers, as part of the Zwift 10 year celebration).
If you are that close to the top of C, then the assumption that you are nowhere close to B is false.
It means you are going to beat up a lot but everyone else in C is glad to see you in B.
I confirm, I just went up to B, I get huge bursts!!!
@Anchor_Up if your train did mess up why did not stop in the race pull over and stop? this smell like B but i would like to race C. @Paul_Southworth @Tim_Camden_C
@Paul_Southworth, @Steve_Cl, @Tim_Camden_C, @C_Da_Cruz, @Bath_Salts, Crew, thank you all for the great responses. The trainer started skipping towards the end of the race, didn’t think much of it so i kept going. Next day, come to find out the belt on the trainer had almost broken off, hence the skipping & power exaggeration, i do not have Cat B strength . I repaired the trainer & purchased a new one, all good for now. Will reach out to zwiftpower & have them put me back in my place
