Game Update v1.83 [February 2025]

Similar issues, M1 Max + kickr bike V1 steering.
Much delay, seems to be not only buttons (which are much more frustrating because you notice this instantly - Power Ups and steering).
But when I realized I seem to have like 3-5sec power/cadence lag I got so unhappy I managed to beat my best power for 10-40mins in the last 90 days /jk
Oh, to remove that permanent input of left steer I can focus back on the Zwift window, but it still behaves randomly.

What might be impacting the results is I am using Low Power mode so the MacBook does not discharge on 65W USB PD but IMHO this should downgrade the GPU use and still perform CPU calculations as normal.

Looking forward to this issue getting solved.

stop pedalling and you break draft and move up.

Zwift downloaded 1.83.2(140279) today to my Samsung S7 Android tablet (4g ram, v. 14).
I paired it to my Sole F85 BTE treadmill and Garmin HRM Pro.
The app repeatedly crashed - either immediately or after a few minutes on course.
These crashes happened before with a past update but ultimately went away, and the app worked fine until this latest update.
Not sure if these new crashes are a bug or what.
I just don’t know who to tell or what to do. Any recommendations?

Regarding the problem where Zwift video screenshots created on Windows do not play on the Strava Android app, I did some additional testing and I copied a video file generated by Zwift on Windows to my phone (Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 with Android 14, One UI 6.1.1). The video file plays correctly when opened on the phone, and if I access the Strava web site through the phone’s Chrome browser the video plays on the Strava site in Chrome (also in Microsoft Edge on the phone).

It looks like the problem is with the Strava Android app as the Zwift videos created in Windows do not play in the app. However, this problem only is present for Zwift videos created AFTER the fix that Zwift just released. Videos uploaded to Strava prior to the fix (when Zwift video screenshots still worked in Windows) play in the Strava app, and all videos uploaded from Apple TV play in the Android app.

Just to be sure the app on my phone was not damaged I uninstalled the Strava app, rebooted the phone and reinstalled the Strava app but the problem remains (I actually did this three times).

I also tried adding the Zwift video that I transferred to my phone (and that plays on the phone) to a different Zwift workout on the Strava app. Once uploaded to Strava the video does not play in the Strava Android app.

So, something is different between the video screenshots created by Zwift in Windows and the video screenshots created by Zwift on Apple TV. The difference prevents the Strava Android app from playing the Zwift video screenshots created on Windows (at least on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6).

I don’t know how to report this to Strava, but maybe someone at Zwift can pass this information to the Strava dev team.

I have an Android 15 phone and after update to 1.83 i can now see my video screenshots in the strava app. So it is working for me now.

What phone do you have? Is it a Samsung running the current OS (Android 14, One UI 6.1.1) or something different?

EDIT: I see you have Android 15, which is not yet available for the Galaxy Z Fold6.

I have a Samsung S21 which is running Android 14 and the videos are working for me on Strava.

Sounds like the problem is isolated to specific models. It would be interesting to know what changed in the video encoding (maybe it’s a Windows change related to the OS update that broke video screenshots).

same here after todays update on Mac. but it’s white in garage.

Man, they need to get this sorted. I just feel like an every day average bum riding around on a normal Tron bike.

Fit-files error:
Hello, I just noticed that all my fit-files are corrupted since Game Update v1.83 (Feb 2025).
Last fit-file working was from Feb 06 2025. Now, for every newer fit-file I got an error when trying to upload it into my third-party tool. It has been working with Zwift-fit-files for 7 years until now (I am using the third-party tool “Velohero” as my sports diary for all my sports activities).
Has there been made any changes? Is anybody else having problems with the fit-files since v1.83?

I’ve been rather tied up so far this year with the TdZ Ultimate challenge rides and runs, all of which complete with the old fashioned ride summary stats screen with just my numbers.

With that behind me I’ve ridden other rides over the past two days, both of which have tried to display a race results screen at the end. I say “tried” because it was a poor effort on both occasions. In fact, pretty hopeless. This is on a Galaxy Tab S7 Plus with all available updates applied. Any solution?

macOS: The Ultra graphics profile is now enabled for devices with the following chips: Apple M4 (all versions), M3 Max, M3 Pro, M2 Ultra, M2 Max, M2 Pro, M1 Ultra, M1 Max, M1 Pro.

Finally! 2 years later after tweaking this to run manually, but massive thank you for making this officially supported now. I’m glad the Apple Silicon is fully trusted to run amazingly well now :grinning:

Still no sign of video screenshots in my preferences (running 1.83.2 Build 140279). Running on a PC with Windows 11 Home (64-bit) and an Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor. Should I be seeing it as an option? Ultra 7 is more recent than i9 (which is listed as compatible).

Thanks.

Hello, in 2024 in september, I purchased a zwift frame from you along with a trainer. Since then I also started using your app. From the very beginning I used the controllers I got.

Today I managed to do 50,000 meters up and achieve the challenge.

However, I did not get any information about the white color I should receive due to the fact that I have ZWIFT Ride.

All I have is a color change to white and only the front changes. I didn’t see the information on the “Ride In Style” screen.

Is it not in your setting menu under preferences? It would be odd that only 1 user has this missing.

That’s what I’m saying - it’s not even there for me to enable/disable in the preferences menu.
Computer is capable of running the 4K Ultra Game resolution, so I’m pretty certain it’s not a GPU issue…
