After this update my ERG stop working its on on app and everything looks okay but its not automatically change my watts. Any solution for this?
Which trainer type? I used workout mode yesterday and it was working painfully well.
macOS, kickr bike and ANT+ connection.
Its happened after update, yesterday everything was okay. I use Tuo elite on windows with BT connection
Andrew this is affecting sweeping too. I have noticed that when trying to pull someone back to the yellow bunch, they often donāt fall in behind you like they used too, but are off too one side or the other, while I am mostly in the middle of the lane. I have also noticed the issue with riding with those with steering when I donāt. Doing an AP today I was riding with two other riders with steering and a lot of the time I was way off to the side of them, unable to get any draft, whereas they stuck together like glue even though they werenāt using the steering. This is a huge step backwards from my point of view.
Well, I have steering. Did a race today, and pace partner ride. Seemed like it was constantly trying to steer back to the bunch. It kept pushing me to the outside
This is exactly what Iām finding. Iām wearing my fingers out pushing my steering buttons trying to get into the centre of the pack. Previous to this I barely needed to touch my steering and my avatar would sit roughly centre of pack. Now it swerves, jumps around, moves violently left or right almost like an opposing magnet it trying to stop me from being where I want to be. You can no longer pass through other riders! And if thereās a large group, good luck forcing your way back into the pack from the edges. Making it so you canāt pass through other riders is a really silly idea. Itās a virtual game, not real life. To make it so difficult to position yourself makes this almost painful to use. PD4 used to work well. PD5 is a total stuff up in my books. I have steering (and have made a substantial investment to have that feature) but now itās useless unless Iām off the back of a peloton without other avatars in my wayā¦hopeless
Except when the steering goes crazy. I know itās absolutely critical for races that people have very little control over steering but there must be a better way otherwise all these steering controllers are fairly pointless.
I just ride alone on mountainous routes where there are no robopacers or big groups, that mostly avoids the issues you are not happy with. Or I just do a workout.
Amazing
Yep, I would pretty much agree with this. I was almost always pushed to the outside. Constant battle trying to get back to the middle. I donāt remember it being this way. Isnāt that why we have steering?
Iām doing a group ride with my wife today, if Iām having the same issue. I might turn off the steering, and see what happens
Oddly, with my Kickrbike steering I donāt feel thatās the case for me; but it also seems far less responsive the few moments I have tried it.
But thatās ⦠dare I say ānormalā ?
It seems thereās something fundamentally wrong with the Play controllers and steering, versus the experience Iāve had on my Kickrbike which has been consistent.
Not that this adds anything, but something Iāve noticed. (Or! Or it happens to me and I just give up LOL)
Another from The MAAP ride yesterday.
What these folks doing on the left Zwift???
PD5⦠when it works it seems to be okayish; but very swervy.
When PD5 doesnāt work (which is half the time)⦠boy is it absolutely frustrating!
I noticed a weird point, where someone either purposefully or accidentally attacked us at the front; and their avatar immediately swerved out of the way (this user had no steering for the record!).
But then a few seconds later we all immediately fell into place.
Is this a purposeful aspect? Because if it is, I ⦠can like that.
But IF it is⦠it potentially is whatās causing the biggest issues.
Iād like the possibility to always see your current elevation above sea level, just as I can on my Garmin IRL
How is that helpful when your sitting on the trainer in your basement?
Hi everyone, has anyone encountered something similar? After the update, I canāt connect my trainer (Elite Direto XR-T) via the Companion app, although it connects to my laptop (MacBook) via Bluetooth. How can I fix this?
Probably looking to judge elevation in game for the bigger climbs. Itās an alternative to tracking distance, so you know how far you have left to go.
Iāve done that IRL a few times when you have the highest elevation numbers printed out on a stage profile sticker then you can compare, Iām at 2300m+, have 385m left . Surprised you wouldnāt have picked up on that use before chiming in with sarcasm.
Yes rider without a draft will move to the middle of the lane if there is spaceā¦if that space is already occupied than he will stay in the same place and slowly move closer to the group. I think you really need to look what happened a few seconds before with all you picture examplesā¦in this last one the riders on the left are taking a shorter way around that long corner so they are passing the group and not moving closerā¦is the 1st rider using steering? There is so many options to look at and without video evidence itās really hard to analyze.
In the case of my picture from the MAAP ride; it was just a random sling to the left (I donāt believe that rider had steering); but they got slung left, and then of course being only the two/three of them⦠were essentially forced to fall to the back and then got recollected into the blob on the right.
And sure; videos would be great; wouldnāt that be such a handy feature if it were available to everyone and also worked? oh wait.
Use a phone or operating system function.
Windows has Xbox game bar, macOS has its own screen capture.
So assuming you have one of those systems you can now become a video producer.
Cool your jets Chris, it was an legitimate question. There arenāt that many huge climbs on Zwift and most of them already have a distance to go marker on the special climbing hud.
You mean like Climb Pro?
Like⦠what everyoneās been asking for and Zwift still managed to get wrong with the HUD update?
Thatās at least what I thought we were going to get with the HUD update; I suspect Iām not the only one either.
Alas⦠itās not what we got.
And itās still not a thing on Companion app; which is wild.
It boggles my mind this isnāt a feature still, years later, for even something simple like the Climb Portals; where we also literally donāt even have a map⦠1.5 years later.
Donāt get me wrong, I do appreciate the HUD addition we got; because itās more than the nothing we had prior.
Because Zwift listen to what we say we want, decide we donāt actually know what we want, then give us what they want!
