Game update v 1.104 [December 2025]

My Jetblack Victory is working fine pairing over WiFi, with Play controllers pairing by Bluetooth to Companion app, both for erg and freeride.

I have the same issue with the SB20 since the update - rode this morning and everything was fine. Updated the app and got on to ride and could not pair - using an iPad

Managed to use my Mac in the end but all devices on new update don’t pair with sb20 bike for resistance

Same SB20 issues as others have noticed. No longer able to pair Stages Bike using Bluetooth.

Is anyone who is having resistance issued paired via Zwift Companion?

It’s like half an app update, it really doesn’t show you much and no numbers are available to show if your looking at power saved % of draft you are actually receiving at any given point in a ride , other platforms do this really well and have done for some time , not much point in updating with half an update that leaves riders wondering what is all about and others who use it on other platforms thinking wot a waste of time Zwift, needs a bit of tweaking

Erg mode not working now with watt bike since the update.

Widespread comments during my morning ride about trainer control being broken. Please roll this back so we aren’t stuck with it until late January.

Also having Stages SB20 Bluetooth connection issues exactly as described by others here. I was only able to pair via an old ANT+ stick. I hear the official response from Zwift is that Stages has to update the firmware, but clearly this was working yesterday and broke immediately after the latest update. Zwift: can’t you just use the old connection method for Stages Bikes? I don’t want to have to wait months (or indefinitely) for Stages to fix something you broke.

Dear Shuji,

Might we also be seeing an update of the Companion app, ideally before Christmas, so that we can ride the newly opened routes at our discretion over the holiday break?

Thanks,

Jeff

It’s highly likely that once the rollout is finished, Zwift will turn on those routes in Companion via a server switch, without any update needed.

I managed to catch the ā€œupdate laterā€ button this morning, so I am still on 1.103. At this point I’m just going to leave that computer on and running Zwift full time. I may not get the new badges, but I can ride.

@shooj , unless Zwift is going to roll back the release, or patch fix it, will those whose trainers no longer appear to be working get credit added to their accounts for the days/weeks lost?

I am experiencing the same thing, however pairing through the companion app did get things back to normal in both ERG and SIM mode, resistance was working.

EVERYONE, PAIR THROUGH THE COMPANION APP AS A WORKAROUND FOR NOW

Not ideal as my phone drops Wi-Fi sometimes due to being as far away from my router as is possible in my house. PC has a 6ā€ antenna for Bluetooth and WiFi. Would be better to roll this one back until next year. Only thing in it is new routes.

For all the SB20 users we may have a workaround that avoids using the companion app.

On the pairing screen click on speed sensor first rather than power. That screen finds the stages bike and then you can toggle back to power and the bike is showing paired to resistance. You can then pair your left power meter to power and cadence

I can confirm I also have the Jetblack Victory no WiFi issue (have latest Victory firmware which was, prior to the update, working sound as a pound). Bluetooth still works so I’m not sunk but hope Zwift can fix ASAP.

Thanks Steve for the information. Jeff

I’m using a Stages SB20 and this latest update has rendered it unusable. It worked perfectly before but now the bike does not appear as an option for power or resistance. I can see both pedal power meters as an option for power but nothing for resistance. Zwift - please fix this asap or I have to switch to another platform (probably Rouvy) and I will seek a refund from Zwift

use the companion app to pair, there are other workarounds that people have found for the SB20 as well:

I am very frustrated. Still nothing. I have tried all suggestions.

No Resistance. No problems till this Update 1.104
