Updated just before my ride (currently in game as I type this). Resistance is super pulsey and inconsistent, especially when cresting a small hill and on the initial descent. I’ve never felt this before in 25k miles on Zwift. For reference I’m on a Kickr Move with most recent firmware. Rode yesterday (pre-update) and everything was normal. I’ve tried unplugging trainer, tried Bluetooth and DirCon. Nothing is making it better. Super frustrating
Hi @Bryce_Renkiewicz_Rac
Shuji at Zwit HQ. I scanned through some of your recent activities and noticed there’s a mix of structured workouts and free rides. Does this pulse-y resistance happen in both types of rides, or just in the ERG mode workouts?
You might try connecting your KICKR Move to the Wahoo app and see if Power Smoothing is enabled. If so - try turning it off. This person reported success with a KICKR BIKE, it’s possible that might help your trainer too?
Thank you for the followup. I noticed it just during my most recent activity (free ride). It seemed to be only during slight gradient fluctuations. It was particularly noticeable on the transition between flat road and the first part of a hill. Once I got into a climb, it seemed to smooth out. The troubleshooting I was doing mid-ride included resetting / repairing everything, but I did not restart the game (didn’t want to lose the activity/stats). After I finished, I restarted my laptop (MacBook Pro with M3 Pro chip) and did a test ride on the same route and it seemed to be normal again. I’ll try again tomorrow and will report back if I experience it again.
