Game Update 1.59 [February 2024]

As of today… (Feb 26) When launching Zwift, 'version shows 1.59. However, none of the reported 1.59 features are available. e.g. No player highlight. (and the on/off option is NOT shown in settings.
Windows 10 PC.

If 1.59 is displayed as current Zwift version, why do 1.59 updates not appear?

Sometimes availability of a feature is on a gradual rollout which depends on a certain version of Zwift. Player highlight is one of those features. It’s still rolling out on 1.59.

Edit - it should have just appeared for you:

I didn’t see it either.
I wasn’t feeling well and just figured the program decided it was best not to highlight my dismal performance .

I’m tried of updates that don’t improve MY performance!

I know the black/red squares are being worked supposedly for a target into the 1.60 release per another thread. But just to bring up this officially, they are still prevalent in 1.59 per the video (sorry, it will not let me attach video type):

How do we get rid of that horrible halo effect. Totally appears fake and makes me feel totally lost and detached from the group.

Have a nosey around in the place where you set all your other in-ride settings and you’ll find it.

Has anyone else experienced RPM reading very low or dropping off to 0 in this update? I don’t know if it is Zwift or my trainer? I am using a Tacx Neo 2T with the software up to date.

I haven’t seen that. Do you see it when you do a ride in the Tacx app? If so, contact Garmin. You should also ensure that your trainer isn’t affected by any other app, such as Zwift on another device, or the Tacx app, or Garmin Connect, or any other cycling apps that you have ever paired to the trainer.

You got rid of Wiggle Mountain!?!?!

Wiggle are having a tough time all round.

I am running Zwift on Android tablet. During activity saving today, the app crashed. Is there any way to get logs and send them to Zwift? This has not happened to for long time.

The sequence:

  1. I finished a race with 600+ people
  2. I rode for ~10 more minutes
  3. End Ride
  4. Viewed power chart. Took screenshot from ZC (phone)
  5. Viewed Event results. Switched to show all riders. Took screenshot
  6. Few seconds. Crash
  7. Starting Zwift again allowed me to recover the activity but race results are lost in ZC (I can see it in ZwiftPower OK).

I do not intend to try the steps again .

Here’s how you can find log files on anything other than Apple TV:

https://support.zwift.com/en_us/locating-log-files-BykKO63fr

With that in hand you can contact support. You will have to go several rounds with the chat bot until it prompts you to submit a support case. Then you’ll be able to give them the log file.

If you join a pace partner while on a TT bike it offers to switch you to the Zwift carbon bike but it actually puts you on the steel.
