Game Update 1.22.1 - February 14th, 2022

Yup, that’s the same for me. It used to show “Zwift - Build Me Up - Spaded Sweetie”, now it shows “Zwift - Spaded Sweetie in Watopia”, though at one point last week it was also showing the route, so for that one it showed “Zwift - Spaded Sweetie on Road to Sky in Watopia”.

Personally for my workout plan rides I preferred the way it was before “Build Me Up - Spaded Sweetie”, which on Strava would translate into “Zwfit - Build Me Up - Spaded Sweetie”.

It’s a super small point, but just calling it out since it was a change.

Something about this release is taking up even more CPU resource than usual. I’m unable to hold 60fps in situations where I could easily before, on the same setup. GPU is not maxed out (far from it), and it’s not a busy area. Strangely the frame rate sometimes jumps to 60fps if I simply change the camera view, even though the number of riders in my vicinity isn’t changing. Likewise the game is suddenly taking up to 50% longer to load, again suggesting something is holding the CPU back. Feels like there’s something weird going on in the background.

Seeing this being reported by people on various Windows setups, on different CPU platforms. This is testing on Watopia, where there aren’t usually any issues. Unlike Makuri Islands, where it’s a problem all the time.

A friend has suggested it could be a debug build. Perhaps relevant given the patch to ‘improve crash logging’.
