Game crashes in France

the new “Hell of the north” looks like this when i start the route:

This happens to every route in France after the update 1.87.2

and when i try to join a race (Yesterdays Rhino chase race - Gentil 8) I cant see the pens and no other riders either. Has to be something wrong here. Please help:

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x
RAM 32gb
GPU: geforce 1070ti
Windows 11

I would try a full Zwift re-install, make sure you delete all the files and folders first. Follow the directions here:

Hi. Thanks. I did this. wiped all files and then reinstalled. Still the same issue.

Here is also a kicker, when i go to routes, i have only Watopia, Richmond and Innsbruck to choose from?

that isn’t unusual, Watopia is always available and then you have two other choices that rotate.

When im in Watopia, there is no such thing. Looks like im missing parts of the world or it cant find it… but a re install should fix that, but it didnt…

You should also upload a log file to zwiftalizer.com to check if there are any serious performance problems affecting the game, and turn off the Video Screenshots setting to get a little performance back. (I do not know if your problem is performance related.)

Post screenshots from zwiftalizer if you want help understanding whether it’s OK or not.

Could you also try testing the game on version 1.88.0, which was released today? I noticed that you’re currently running version 1.87.2 on both your PC (AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8) and Samsung SM-S911B (S23). Updating to the latest version might help to isolate this.

We’ve already received reports from users where rocks or grass clip through the road on the Hell of the North route. This might explain what you’re seeing during your rides there. Keep us posted on how it looks with 1.88.0, if the issue is still reproducible.

Hi. Thanks for replying. I cant get it to update. Says that the game is up to date. Even if i re install it. it is still 1.87.2. Maybe im not first in line on that update ;). Will post as soon as i get it.

Yeah it is a phased update, you’ll have it for sure by Friday

If the game was having problems with performance, it should not give me that weird looping with error messages in the log file. So i highly doubt this is performance related. I’ve been running the game smooth right up until new France map came. And i only have those problems on the France world and all the routes in France

Yep no idea if it matters, but it’s solid for me on Windows and there haven’t been many other reports of issues on Windows. What does it look like in Zwiftalizer?

When in helicopter view some parts of the France map are also missing or overgrown with grass. The riders just disappaired below the grass here.
