Following the acquisition of Fitbit by Google, it’s their intention to merge Fitbit accounts to Google. It wouldn’t be surprising if this will also affect any integration with Fitbit accounts.
As you currently have an integration to allow users to sync their weight into Zwift, can I ask if there are any plans to update any of the other integrations to cater for weight, Garmin, Google Health etc.
I’ve seen a few feature requests having been archived but no definitive answer as to future development in this area?

Just to mention; I’ve moved my fitbit account over to google (during the process you get to keep / disconnect any of your existing data connections) and updating my weight in the fitbit app correctly updated it in zwift.
Oddly, I suspect there may be an issue fitbit’s end - Zwift is showing my weight correct from my previous weigh in on the 21st but not updated with the weigh in from today - but the fitbit app’s dashboard is showing my weight from last week, rather than the update I put in there today (though going into my weight’s history does show the recent update).
I’ve now force closed the fitbit app, reopened it and it’s showing the correct weight; when I’ve reopened the companion app it’s also immediately pulled my weight value through correctly.
Hey Colin, thanks for the update, I am inclined to agree…
I’ve managed to get my weight through breaking/fixing the connection I have to fitbit and all seems ok now… Still such a shame that we can’t get direct Garmin > Zwift update!
My issue I have is that the connection between Fitbit and Zwift keeps disconnecting all the time. It is like every couple of days my weight stops updating and I go into Zwift and check the connections and surprise surprise its disconnected again.
Strava, Garmin all remain connected its just Fitbit
Just tested and yeah, the companion app will throw an error saying that google logins are not supported in the app, but can be added via a web browser.
I was able to use a google login for my fitbit account through the zwift profile’s connections page (The at Home Cycling & Running Virtual Training App) and that is showing as connected on my companion app once that process completed.
Still facing connection issues, I have to keep checking in my online Zwift account to ensure it is active, each time I do it needs to be reconnected using the same Google auth process.
Just to add another to the existing thread here, my Google/Fitbit → Zwift connection keeps dropping, connects fine, but will just stop updating with no notice…
Connects fine with the connect with google and works for long enough to forget it’s there…
This is now the only reason I have a Fitbit account :-p
Unless you can provide a Eufy Scale/EufyLife connection?
I’m using https://smartscalesync.com since a few years. Costs a few dollars but then you are quiet and it syncs the weight wherever you like. Maybe it helps.
Cheers
