Family and Child Plan Request

Have given up with Zwift because of this, can’t justify 2 subscriptions therefore moved to My Whoosh. Although no where near as good it does allow us both to train separately on the same device in the same location. Zwift can’t rely on being the market leader, one day something else will come along and Zwift will be left behind.

Comment 600, so hammertime Zwift. I plan to buy a Zwift ride this week for my wife and myself. So the familiy plan is needed.

600 posts in 6 years - out of 100k who have looked at the thread - hardly a burning issue. Not even one person day. A few more have spotted the vote button at the top of the thread, but even that is only a few more.

Same here! I’m looking for winter cycling trainer app and I will check the competition, because Zwift can’t do this simple thing over years.

I switched to Rouvy this year. Less ‘social’ but still some interaction, nice routes and the ability of workouts. Maybe a good alternative for you?
Now I pay less than 18 Euro’s per month for me and my wife, instead of 40…

I too think this is a necessary option. Netflix (profiles), Amazon Prime (profiles & family account), Spotify (family membership). Zwift… c’mon… I have just bought a new Zwift one setup and will likely go Rouvy so I can share the bike with my family.
I don’t mind paying some more for a family membership, but we will just have the one setup and my wife I will be encouraging the 2 kids (under 16) to use it… but not to mess up all my stats.

+1 for family plan. Other cycling and fitness apps offer this.

New zwifter here, just bought the zwift ride a month and a half ago and i just love it. Payed an annual subscription plan (200,00 euros here in Italy) my wife start loving it too but she rides occasionally and, sincerely, 400,00 euro per year is too much for my pockets… a family plan will be perfect, i’ll be more than happy to pay a little extra just to have two separate accounts. In the meanwhile she uses my account yes using all my data of course but, as someone else already said in this forum, helps me to achieve my goals.
P.s. Zwift be far-sighted my wife just said to me a couples a day ago “we should buy another Zwift ride so we can ride together!”

Agree - lack of a family plan is a money grab on Zwift’s part and does influence our household’s decision to only use Zwift seasonally as the cost of two memberships over the course of a full year is just too high of a price to be worthwhile.

We are a family with 3 riders. So it will be 60 euro´s …
Pff, that´s not normal. Every month ?
My girls train on zwift and they need both a seperate account 2 connect with their trainingpeaks…
Please zwift, start with a discount for family´s.
Thanks!

One trainer - 2 riders - 2 subscription for this household would be A LOT, so one is on Zwift and I’m on TacX/Rouvy/Swoosh. I would be happy to pay a wee more for a premium family plan but TWICE is a lot…

Would love to have the same account to, 1 bill, just 2 avatars to select at the beginning.

Preparing for the winter riding season and just found out that Zwift no longer offers free kids accounts and that it’s going to cost $20 more per month just so my teen can train during the winter. I would actually consider a family plan at a reasonable rate but no way can I pay $40 per month for both of us to ride.

If your child previously had a kid’s Zwift account you should be able to get Zwift to renew it. See the post below for more info.

Hi Zwift team,

I want to join the growing number of Zwift users who have suggested a Family Subscription Plan. As a parent of two youth triathletes, I find myself wishing for a more affordable way to share Zwift with my kids. We all enjoy training and racing together, but maintaining multiple individual subscriptions makes it costly for families like ours.

There are other platforms like Duolingo, Spotify, and Netflix that offer family plans, making it easier for households to share services. Implementing a similar option would not only help families save on costs but also encourage more group activities within Zwift, fostering community spirit among family members.

Many of us would love to see this kind of plan introduced, especially for parents with kids involved in cycling, triathlon, or even just fitness in general. It would strengthen the bonds between family members through shared training and events, and I believe it would encourage long-term loyalty to the Zwift platform.

Thank you for considering this, and I hope you will prioritize it in future updates. I know a lot of families, like mine, would be incredibly grateful!

+1 for a Family Plan

I was lucky to receive a free account for my older son 1.6 years ago, and he has been thoroughly enjoying his training. However, my younger son is now starting to show interest in triathlon, but there is no longer a way to create a kid’s account. My older son will turn 16 in one year, and without a family plan, it will probably be my last year on Zwift.

I’m not the type of person who is motivated by achievements and gamification in apps (most of my training plans are provided by a coach) and could easily switch to something else (as there are many competitors now). I continue to use Zwift after the price increase because my son loves all the gamification elements. However, I have already told him that it would be too expensive to pay for two subscriptions (actually three, considering my second son as well). I believe that the Zwift marketing team needs to seriously analyze this situation. Additionally, if competitors develop a way to transfer Zwift achievements to another platform, it would be an even bigger blow to Zwift.

With the removal of kids accounts, there should be a plan in place to capture more than one user in the family. If the goal of cycling is inclusion and to expand the sport to the youth this should be made a priority prior to canceling the kids accounts. I know my son wants to ride with me on Zwift and have looked at other platforms, but he wants to ride with me.

Please address this, since the kids accounts were disabled 6 months ago…

I got my zwift ride with kicker core today. It looks AMAZING but I’m so disappointed to find out that after spending over £1,200 (with delivery) it doesn’t include the first years subscription. Not the end of the world but I also discovered there is no family plan or child option… zwifts response is to just pay for a full additional subscription for each child. I think my only option is to just let the kids ride as me on my subscription. The product looks amazing but this really doesn’t seem like good customer service/value for money. I passed this onto zwift who suggested I share the feedback here

Come on Zwift, even Strava now offers a family subscription rate!

That’s how they shut you up and blow you off, Zwift knows this is a huge complaint from the users but has ignored it for years.

This is what happens when idealism meets investors.
I’m now on Rouvy, where the community is a bit smaller, but the relationship between provider and consumer is much better. Yesterday, there was a fantastic race with over 4,000 sign-ups (about 2,000 actually participated, but it was amazing).
