Family and Child Plan Request

Just bought a KICKR Bike and deciding which app to subscribe, really want to pick zwift but the lack of a family plan is really a deal breaker

Agreed, family plan is needed. Interested in the the Zwift ride when I have some space for a perm
trainer but not if the whole family can’t use it.

We’re three people in this household, I am not willing to pay $60 a month…

They just want MONEY… that’s all. This topic is open since what? 2017, 2018? And nothing atm.

I love Zwift, big fan and have been for years. But I do not like their position on a family/household payment options.
So why don’t we, as one Zwift community decide to do something about it.
I know it will be a hard stand, but if we all show a bit of strength and cancel our subscriptions together until their payment options change, we might actually see a change most of us would like to see.

Don’t get me wrong but Zwift has increased its subscription price recently and they still seem to be doing fine although some folks here and there post wild numbers regarding recent cancellations rate. If family plan was such a pain for more people I would expect that it will be more present topic. For me it doesn’t appear so, however I would greet such an option similar to what Rouvy or Spotify offer as I use Zwift with my wife.

We’ve got three family members using Zwift now. Not sure I can keep justifying the subscription which now costs more than internet.

I’ll just add my “Please can we have a family plan” request here too. I have two sons, my oldest has been using a free kids plan but was not able to carry on as he got too old so I had to start paying the monthly fee for him so that’s £36 a month for us both - quite a lot!

Now my youngest aged 14 wants to use Zwift so I went to create a kids account but they don’t use them any more so I’d have to create a brand new full-price account for him too. It’s working out really expensive, I’d hate to say no to my youngest but it’s a lot of money.

Of course he now wants a road bike like mine but that’s another story.

Adding my request for a family plan here. But given they’ve ignored (and made money) since 2018, I think they won’t give a **** either now

Got the ride. My wife and me use it, but now our two older daughters want to ride too. They are not fully committed yet, so I don’t want to subscribe atm. I don’t know if I will ever be comfortable to pay four !!! subscription for our family.
Please offer something like a family subscription just as other services do. Especially something that appeals to kids.

Might as well add my vote for a family plan, same as everyone else… my daughter wants to ride in Zwift once in a while… not at the same time as me since we’re sharing the same trainer/bike. This should be like Netflix, you just pick you profile and it’s your settings/history…etc… It’s not like you can ‘share’ the account and use it on two bikes at once. I’m not opposed to paying a bit more for the additional profile, but not double the price! This definitely is influencing my decision to stay or leave Zwift for something else … Indievelo for example (new but looks promising)

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for zwift to offer a family and child plan…

We also desperately need a family or child plan here. My 13yr old son is getting into cycling and really wants to get involved with Zwift. My wife has expressed an interest in using it too. I’m tempted to buy the new Ride adjustable bike to put on my Zwift Hub, but doubling or tripling my monthly payment is just silly.

Come on - either reinstate cheaper/free accounts for juniors or add a family option. You are selling an adjustable family bike now, surely this is a necessity.

One more upvote for a family plan. It seems crazy this is not an option, at least at a reduced rate. Our Tempo (free weight based exercise system which is great) doesn’t require us to both pay to use. I want my wife to be able to use the Zwift ride along with me, but balking at the additional expense.

Now that you sell an easily adaptable frame. Why not implement a family subscription. You upped your price to 20€ which is already quite high yet you refuse this simple request. I would buy the frame so my wife could also Zwift but not if it also means 20€ extra per month…

There has to be something between two(plus) single profiles and nothing!

Sure many people have situations where there is a primiary user and one or more less frequent one.

Would I pay a little extra to acomitate this, aboslutely. Why I pay full price, that is a very hard sell.

It is a shame as I’d love to get a Zwift ride as multi person household, no real point otherwise.

Same here.

We use one (the same) smart ergometer with the same tablet on which Zwift is installed. Two profiles on the device, I payed € 216 / year (approx. $ 240).
My wife doesn’t use it that much, so I’m not willing to pay the same high full amount twice.

Zwift could check the hardware (MAC addresses, bluetooth connections etc) of the connected devices and smart ergometers. If the 2nd / 3rd etc user is installed on the same device, on the same Zwift installation and uses the same hardware (mac addresses/bluetooth connection), it should be possible to do that without paying additional licence costs.

Like they do it by steam and their game library for families. One pays the game and others in the family can use/play it too, but not together at the same time.

Zwift is cool, but I’m definitely not going to pay two or more full licence costs for $ 240 each, if we’re training on one an the same device/ergometer individually, one by one.

Yes, please. I just purchased the zwift frame with wahoo kickr set up. This is a huge let down and may be a reason to return items and to go another route

I’ve given up waiting for Zwift to offer a family plan. My wife and I just share the single profile. It’s annoying going into Strava and deleting her activities but if Zwift wants to leave money on the table that is their problem.

On the plus side her activities count towards my points so I’ll finish challenges and go up the levels quicker…
