Does Rouvy still have 2 adult per main account? My gf is spending as much time as me on Zwift but its annoying that it messes up the metrics for my account when she rides the trainer. My subscription is due soon so maybe its time to switch…
I understand that they ended that. If you can’t afford two Zwift accounts you could use one of the free options for one person and Zwift for the other.
Please consider this. It would be easy to have 2 profiles under one account. Each profile could be personalized. I have been using zwift for indoor rides but my wife and I would like to both start running on zwift.
It is such a shame that Zwift still has not come up with a family plan. On the other hand they probably don’t need it as they are still the most used indoor cycling app and have enough customers.
But FYI, Rouvy has just introduced their new Family plans for two people for 20EUR/month (10 per one user) or for 5 users for 33EUR/month (6.6 per one user) and that could play a bit with the cards on the market.
the new plan from Rouvy is even better than a family plan. You don’t have to be family. You can also join a group from friends. That makes it very interesting for group riders.
Yesss. New Rouvy has amazing routes and setups. Two trainers for 1 year £155. Thank you Rouvy for seeing common sense and delivering a much better platform than Zwift. I can’t encourage people to move across enough. So happy to get rid of a backward ignorant company. It will be interesting to see if this post gets removed as they have ignored all posts re multi-plans. Bye bye Zwift . Get across to Rouvy… now!!
I hope you’re getting a discount with Rouvy, that platform has barely changed in any meaningful way since I first tried it over a decade ago! As much as Zwift frustrates me on many levels at least they’re miles ahead in continual development and that’s worth something.
Not many replies. Just a few die yards trying to justify Zwift. Rouvy for the uneducated has been recently taken over and revamped and they actually listen to the customers and there is so much good stuff I cancelled our single account on Zwift and moved over. Zero regrets so far. I can’t knock you if you like riding in virtual cartoon worlds with friends for an ever increasing fee but check out Rouvey and the prices for duo and family. No contest. The way it reacts to trainer resistance and sensors is excellent and you can change sensors on the fly without restarting. Real videos of real places. Training programs and velodromes. Just better.
Take care and enjoy riding wherever you end up. Can’t and won’t apologise for dumping inferior ignorant companies.
It sounds like you wanted to leave Zwift regardless of family plan or not - since it seems the idea of a more cartoony environment is not your thing. Some folks like more game, some don’t. Either is ok, it’s nice we have options.
I do think it would be good if Zwift would provide a family plan, but from what you wrote I think regardless you will be looking for another platform.
Thanks for balanced reply. I always used Tacx trainer 4 which was cartoony but had all my virtual rides and street view. It included good training and velodromes. It was very good. It was free with trainer. Unfortunately it stopped with Garmin takeover. That left me with Tacx desktop which was paid but had much less features. I the hit Zwift as a compromise at £6 month and it climbed to £13/mth so wet back to Tacx. Then my wife wanted to ride as well so we got Zwift for her as my son has it also but they never rode together that often. I did not want a double subscription for one trainer so asked Zwift to do a discounted multi user plan. 12 yrs later still a definite no. So Rouvy is more toward the street view and you can record video rides on phone and import. My 10 mile time trials have only 10 second difference indoor to out. I got a good deal on second Tacx genius for my wife and we now pay £6.50 each to Rouvy. It’s a no brainer really.
If Rouvy seems to tick all the boxes you want then I fail to see why you would want a zwift subscription.
You don’t want to pay for a double subscription (which is fair enough) so you don’t want both and you don’t seem to like many other aspects of zwift not just the pricing.
If you’re happy with Rouvy and their pricing suits you seems like you have found your winner!
Old thread and still relevant. Has Zwift come forward whether they have even consider doing family plans or not? These days of hard economic times this is more relevant than ever. Currently paying for 2 subscriptions, this idea would be welcoming news
