Factory Tour Challenge

Hi, last week I completed the first section of the Factory Tour Challenge. I have since done over 400 miles and % has not changed from 32% and stuck on 280.2/850. Is this normal? On average I’m not fast, but I have been sprinting, which I do ok in. Is it measured differently in the second section of the challenge?

Any chance you teleported a lot ?

Hi @Jill_Sargeant, welcome to Forums! I’m Francisco from Zwift Support.

It can be discouraging when progress doesn’t seem to update as expected, especially after putting in so many miles.

The Factory Tour Challenge tracks progress using Power Units, not distance. Since you’ve completed the first section, your progress resets to 29% for the second section, which requires 600 additional Power Units to complete. This means that your percentage won’t increase based on miles alone—it depends on the power you’re generating while riding. Sprinting can help, but sustained power output over time is key.

  • After completing the initial portion of the challenge, you will encounter an extra credit section where your completion percentage will drop back down to 29%.
  • To fully complete the Factory Tour, you’ll need to produce an additional 600 Power Units.

If your progress seems stuck, I recommend checking your average watts per kilogram (w/kg) during rides. Increasing your sustained power output will help move things along. You can also review the challenge details

Iol, I have teleported from Bernie to Miguel, who is faster, to miss a 10 minute climb on the Sugar Cookie route. Only on this route, though. Got to look after my knee

Ah ok, definitely not the kind of teleporting that would give you miles but no progress on the Factory Tour. :white_check_mark:

Feel free to join me on the Alpe for a couple of climbs, just to check if that adds any progress

I’ve done enough Alpe climbs, thank you very much :face_with_raised_eyebrow: You forgot about my knee then? I did extra miles on those rides to make up for not climbing, as you can see. How are you getting on in the Factory Tour?
