It said 5.7 miles and 107 ft climb. 5.4 miles later, over 1200 ft and no end in sight, what am I missing?
Possibly routed to the wrong climb? Do you have screenshots that show you were on an unexpected climb?
I seem to recall when I did a climb portal ride (Off the MAAP I believe) that the metadata wasn’t correct, it didn’t seem to include the actual climb portal distance/elevation (more the distance to get to the climb portal). Though maybe I’m mis-remembering… For this ride - I don’t see the suggested climb in the EVO CC metadata on ZP, so not sure what was expected there.

Screenshot from another in the race suggests the race went up the Climb Portal of the Day for Watopia, that being The Tourmalet.

I guess the explanation for @Rowland_Cleverley722 is don’t do climb portal events unless you’re prepared to do any climb portal route. It’s a mystery race.
Oh man, that would be quite the surprise if you’re expecting 107ft climb and you end up on Tourmalet 
I wish it would have said it’s a mystery race. I’m looking at the the event description. Climb portal - Volcano. 5.7 miles in total. 107 ft total. No mention of a ‘mystery’ race or route. I’m struggling to work out what the 5.7 miles refers to. It certainly wasn’t the distance to the portal. Doing the climb isn’t the issue, its the amount of time I have available. Having what is up ahead being a mystery is fine. Knowing what time I will finish the event being a mystery is another thing. I have to get the dinner on and walk the dog!

It was a surprise! Just gutted that I didn’t have the time, or enough charge in my iPad, to finish it. I was going well and sitting in 2nd place. Had to wrap it up quite quickly before my iPad died. I’ll know next time.
