I just tried to ride Douce in France because it was a 15.4 mi route w 448ft of climb. It started out fine but about 6miles in the miles remaining part of the header disappeared. See attachment with the abbreviated header. In addition, the route displayed Marina sprint going out but never showed the sprint area, it also put me on a course for Ventoux KOM. I turned around and coming back I got the reverse marina sprint but no sprint area.
Bob, looks like your looking for an answer to your mis-routing ?
Not sure you will get much back from Zwift.
If you look at your ride activity on Zwift Companion App you will notice that you start your ride on the expected route. After about 6 miles (as you say in your post) you will notice that you perform a U-turn. I suspect you didn’t intend this U-turn. [ there are reports about drops of sweat etc causing unexpected U-turns).
You then see that you ride the reverse route direction until I think you perform the U-Turn you then did intentionally.
This takes you back to your original route, where you complete the distance your were expecting.
If I may say, I wouldn’t worry about this being a ‘route bug’, I think it was just an unexpected early U-turn which you may or may not have initiated.
Hi @Bob_Hunchberger_H_RN Welcome to the Forums! I’m Norman from Zwift, I appreciate your report and letting us know about what happened. From the screenshots shared it looks like an unexpected U-Turn happened, same as our fellow Zwiftter mentioned above me.
Best practice when selecting a route is to let the game take you for the ride and don’t make any turns at all, of course, if this isn’t what happened and there’s a possibility of a bug, we would jump into action immediately.
So maybe watch out for where you placed your phone running Zwift Companion and for accidental turns, if the issue happens again and you’re sure the bike turned on it’s own, it’d be great if you could update in this thread!
