Device pairing issues

Spitting into the wind here, I know…

I’ve just been putting up with this annoyance, and I know there’s no point in reporting it, but here goes…

I can’t pair my Kickr as a controllable trainer unless I first pair it as a power sensor. If I have my Assioma pedals selected as the power sensor, no controllable trainers show up. Once paired as a controllable trainer, I can select a different power sensor.

Similarly, I can’t pair my Assioma pedals as a cadence sensor unless I first pair them as a power sensor. If I have my Kickr paired as a power sensor, no cadence sensors show up. Once paired as a cadence sensor, I can select a different power sensor.

So, to get everything paired, I have to switch my power sensor at least once. It’s mildly annoying.

It wasn’t always this way. Zwift used to default to my previous sensor pairings without any fiddling.

BLE on Windows, BTW.

Hi @Jim_Mattson, I remember seeing a post about a prefs file that holds/remembers your previously used paired devices. If you delete it, it will reset the next time you log in and then remember your configuration.

Of course I can’t remember what prefs file it is… maybe you’ve already tried that anyway?

This has started happening to me since the last “upgrade” on apple TV and iPhone 6
Kinetic road machine control, v3 power pedals, polar him connected by companion app

used to all connect fine by default.

Now cannot connect Controllable unless previously selected and connected as power source, then have to select V3 pedals to connect power and cadence. ( often now also have to reselect hrm source)

it got worse with latrszwift “update” see bt woes in bugs
