Crossed finish line 3rd but ranked 4th

Crossed the line 3rd and posted faster time than 3rd place finisher but was ranked 4th. What gives? This was the TFC Mad Monday US (Middle-End) race on Monday June 3 at 17:00 PST

Points race, not timed race.

Study the bonus primes you see on the TFC website.

I’ve gotten several wins and podiums recently in events where people didn’t pay attention to either points or bonus seconds. They’re thinking I’m a generous fool for gently towing the group through a banner but they just gave away the race for free.

It used to be that what we each see on our screen isn’t what the server is seeing. It was/is how Zwift works and it was a big driving motivation when the independent team who developed Zwift Power came up with a service to show where people finish based on their position on the server. This means that you can think that you are first, whereas, you aren’t.

Still is an issue. i rarely see if but have seen it recently where on screen does not match final position.

Unless zwift do a significant rework of code to make it more server authoritative this will continue.

A friend runs the biggest live streaming platform for cycling esports and Zwift is a headache for those guys.

Imagine if you was told you won the olympics epsorts final only to find out 3 minutes later that what you saw on screen wasn’t the actual result

i love ZP and basically everyone in KRT for making racing what it is, but that’s happened to me 3 times in 1000+ races. always in my favour though, so personally i think it’s a good thing. once i finally do get shafted by it i will do a complete 180 on that opinion
