Crashes on macOSX 10.11 El Capitan? [1.14.0] [June 2021] [SOLVED]

same here

Yeah, same problem over here. Has Zwift support contacted you with any fix?

Iā€™ve downloaded Zwift on a MacBook and it crashes when one enters an email and password - the app simply disappears. Is this happening for other people? Any ideas Zwift?? Any solutions out there?

Yes me too. Iā€™m logged in but once I click on the ā€œletā€™s goā€ button Zwift shuts down or disappear completelyā€¦

Iā€™m on MacOS El captain tho! Which as stated in the update that it is supported!

Can anyone help?

Having same problem here with the 10.11.6 version. When will the fix be done??? Iā€™m not buying a new laptop!!

Hi @shooj :slight_smile: Thanks for looking into this issue for us! Itā€™s much appreciated - I canā€™t exactly run out and buy a new laptop unfortunately - this one is working fine I was hoping it would last a few more months for the back-to-school sales.

I had forwarded my crash logs and files from the log folder to email you indicated last night as well I opened a ticket with Zwift support. I can send them again if needed - let me know. Iā€™d love to get this resolved - Zwift is a much different experience on a tiny screen :grimacing:

Hiya @Vicky_L we appreciate the help!

The logs you sent yesterday are regular game logs, which are useful for other kinds of troubleshooting.

What we need are the macOS system logs when Zwift crashedā€¦ If you donā€™t mind. would you follow the steps in this article and resend?

Same problem! Iā€™m running Mac OS El Capitan 10.11.3. I should be fine according to Zwift. Given Zwift went down for three or four days a month ago for another issue with Macs, this is getting ridiculous.

Zwift, get your game together!!!

@shooj Logs are mailed

@Oliver_King2
Yup, watched them hit the inbox. Let me get them now.

Sorry for the confusion @shooj :sweat_smile: Iā€™m resending some files and hopefully these are the correct ones - I pulled two sets of report from the Console app. I hope theyā€™re helpful.

@Vicky_L
Got them now - thanks for resending!

Same here. iMac with El capitan 10.11.6

Same issues for me running El Capitan 10.11.6 on my Macbook Air. As soon as I hit lets go the app just crashes.

I have a 2017 Macbook Air with 4gig of RAM and running OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 which is supposed to be supported still but Zwift closes on clicking ā€œLets Goā€?? Is this to be fixed by Zwift or do I need to do something?

Thanks Chris

Same issue here. Running 10.11.6 on an iMac with 4 Gb ram. Click the lets go and it crashes, no message or warning. Spent two hours reinstalling etc. no useful information on the support. I hope they fix it soon.

I have a 2015 MacBook Air, running El Capitan, with 8 GB and I canā€™t move past Letā€™s Go, the Zwift app keeps crashing. I have uninstalled Zwift and reinstalled about 10 times, cleared my safari cache and changed default back to safari and still no luck.

I have emailed my os system logs to Zwift technical.

Have had the same problem : zwift crashes on opening since new update
Have a MacBook Air from 2011 running 10.11.16

Installed Sierraā€¦ie 10.12, problem now fixed

Along with others, Iā€™m having the exact same problem after upgrading to latest version this morning that hitting ā€œLetā€™s Goā€ does nothing. Iā€™m on El Capitan 10.11.6.
