Connectivity Issues - Controllers not pairing on side-by-side Zwift Rides

My partner and I recently moved in together and are having issues with Zwift connecting correctly to each of our handlebars while both using Zwift.

We are both on Zwift rides. He had his for 2 years, but mine was just purchased.
He uses blutooth to connect to a desktop that runs Zwift. He runs his handlebar USB directly into the desktop tower.
I use blutooth to connect to an iPad that runs an HDMI into a TV

We each have our own accounts and have never logged into the other’s account (changed user) from our device. We are riding in the same room.

We can get our Zwift rides and HRs connected simultaneously but only one of us can connect our handlebars/controllers at a time. We have tried first linking our handlebars in the companion app - the app will find both pairs - and then launching Zwift. The first person who connects to Zwift will have their controllers connected. The second person will show no controllers found.

Please help!

The USB cable is for charging only so that does not matter. The controls only pair either via Bluetooth to the game device, or via the Kickr Bridge in a Kickr Core V2 trainer. (https://support.wahoofitness.com/hc/en-us/articles/28126062260370-How-to-use-the-KICKR-Bridge)

If you have a Kickr Core 2 trainer (or two of them?) the first thing I would do is go into the Wahoo app to make sure that you’re not bridging the wrong controls through the trainer. I’d just remove the Ride controls from the Kickr Bridge since you probably don’t need that. If his older trainer is the original version of the Kickr Core then there is no Kickr Bridge available for that one. That’s only a feature of the newer model Kickr Core 2.

You could share pictures of your pairing screens here if you want some feedback about that, but it might make more sense for you to talk to Zwift support.

If you want to start over completely with the pairing process, you can also delete the game and re-install it. That would make the PC or iPad forget about ever having connected to the wrong Ride and trainer. Reinstalling Zwift

Thanks Paul. The joys of technology.

I didn’t think about downloading the Wahoo app. He has the original Kicker Core and I have the Kicker Core 2. Maybe I can pair all my devices through the app.
I did just order an Ant+ Dongle for his PC so maybe we can connect try to use that for his and Blutooth for mine.

You can’t use ANT+ to pair the trainer when you’re using virtual shifting.
