Zwift Ride controllers not connecting

Took delivery of a Zwift Ride and Wahoo Core yesterday. Nice! Trainer connected fine. Controllers will not connect. Just keep flashing blue on both. Connected to Companion app ok. Updated firmware. But will not connect to the game. Can’t use my new ride as I can’t change gear. Tried workaround leaving controllers off until Zwift game started (and only turning one on). No joy. Anybody able to help please?

Update - solved. Solution for me was:

  • running Wahoo Core on BT, not Ant+

  • using Companion app as a bridge (laptop maxed out on BT connections)

Habe ein ähnliches Problem, Steuerung koppelt am Anfang, dann fällt immer der rechte Controller aus, nach ca 1 Minute und koppelt sich nicht mehr neu. Schalten etc. nicht mehr möglich.

Hi,
The left lever (1D5E) on my computer isn’t working properly:
The bike won’t brake and won’t steer to the left.

Only the left lever (1D5E) is paired with Bluetooth. The right lever (DA2B) is missing.

The companion app recognizes both levers.
The firmware is up to date: 1.2.0 Hardware Version B.0

OS is Apple M1 Sequoia 15.3.2

I tried connecting the two Zwift Ride components to the computer via the companion app. But even then, only the left lever was recognized. Interestingly, the right lever (DA2B), which isn’t recognized, works perfectly! The left lever (1D5E) is recognized, but has errors. This seems to be a software issue? How can I reset the levers to factory settings? Thank you.

Hi @Fritz_X

This is Haziel from Zwift. I want to thank you for bringing your concern about the Zwift Ride handlebars issues to our attention. I completely understand how this might affect you.

After looking into your account details, I found that there have been some interruptions with the Bluetooth signal. I recommend trying the following steps:

  1. Turn off BLE on your device and then turn it back on.
  2. Restart Zwift and attempt to pair your device again.
  3. Disconnect any other BLE devices, such as a mouse, headphones, or keyboards, to minimize potential interference.

I will share this article BLE and ANT+ Interference Troubleshooting Tips which outlines some common reasons for interference and their possible solutions.

Related to resetting your Zwift handlebars, please try gently pressing and holding the big Z button for 30 seconds, this should restart the unit completely.

Please take a look at this article, and if your issues continue after trying these steps, don’t hesitate to contact us.
