Connection problem with Zwift Ride

My new Zwift Ride is all set up and everything seems to be good, EXCEPT connecting the controllers to the Zwift app.

The bike controller appears in my Controls connection window, HOWEVER, nothing happens when I click on the Zwift SF2 icon in the window.

I have tried connecting both with bluetooth and with the Companion app.
I have reinstalled the Zwift app a couple of times.

However, no luck.

Any suggestions out there. Your input is highly appreciated, I am rather keen on getting this baby rolling.

Thank you, friends!

The most common reason is that the trainer doesn’t support virtual shifting, either because it’s not supported, or needs a firmware update. Which trainer do you have?

Virtual shifting also requires that the trainer be paired via Bluetooth, so if an ANT+ dongle is present, remove it.

Hi Paul, and thank you for your reply!

I have the Wahoo Kickr v6.

I know of others that have the same smart trainer, and it works.

I do not use ANT+ for anything.

It should work if the firmware on the trainer is current. Check in the Wahoo app.

Hi @Kjetil_Viken welcome to Zwift forums.

Shuji at Zwift HQ here. Are you sure your KICKR is v6? You may want to verify which model you have by looking at its part number.

I looked at your server logs and your KICKR is using firmware version 4.3.0, which I believe means yours is a KICKR v5. which is not able to run the firmware required to support virtual shifting.
