Hi there. I have a Garmin 945 forerunner and wondering how I can connect it to Zwift for my heat rate for cycling on my indoor trainer. I also have a Garmin chest HRM that I could use if the watch doesn’t sync. Thanks
The watch should work. The 945 will support Bluetooth if you need that. You will need to enable heart rate broadcast on the watch. It’s disabled by default because it drains the battery faster.
The chest strap may support only ANT+ or both ANT+ and Bluetooth depending on the model. The chest strap will probably be more accurate than the watch, if you care about that.
Garmin watches tend to connect to available chest straps if you start an activity on the watch.
If you have both on, it’s best to just connect to the chest strap for the most accurate reading.
