Connecting Garmin HR strap to Zwift

Hi, I am having trouble connecting my Garmin HR strap

The HR strap works fine with my Garmin Forerunner 630, but when searching for HR monitors in Zwift nothing shows up.

I have:

  • Wahoo Kickr v5 Power Trainer
  • Macbook with macOS Monterey v12.0.1 (running Zwift)
  • ANT+ USB stick inserted into Macbook
  • Pixel 5 Phone running Zwift Companion App
  • Garmin Chest Strap HR Monitor - Garmin HRM-Run
  • Garmin Forerunner 630 (Although I assume I won’t need this as part of the setup)

Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

You won’t need your 630.

The HR strap should connect via ANT+. I am pretty sure that it is ANT+ only, so that’s your only option.

Perhaps try a diff USB port for the ANT+ stick. Also verify that your MacBook sees the ANT+ stick. System Information > USB. You should see the ANT+ USB stick listed. If not, you have a problem.

Thanks Lin. Yes, the ANT+ USB stick is listed. I did manage to get it working today, but it’s been a bit hit and miss. Turning my 630 off seems to have helped.
