Connect not connecting

Ever since the newest update of Zwift my Connect app wont connect. I tried restarting my iPhone 15 (latest IOS), restarting my IPad Pro and deleting and reinstalling Connect. Still wont connect. Worked fine on the old version of Zwift.

Hi @D_Garretson, welcome back to the Forums! I’m Francisco from Zwift Support.

Just to make sure we’re on the same page, when you say: Connect app, are you referring to the Zwift Companion app that pairs your device to Zwift, or another app? Knowing exactly which app is having trouble will help us point you in the right direction.

Once we know that, we can dig into the right troubleshooting steps together.

Yes I ment Zwift Companion app.

Hi @D_Garretson

Thanks for confirming! One common issue we see between iOS devices and the Zwift Companion app is that iPhones sometimes switch from Wi‑Fi to mobile data in the background. For the Companion app to work smoothly alongside the Zwift game, both devices need to be connected to the same network—including the same 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band.

It’s also important to make sure Zwift has Local Network permissions so it can pair and communicate with the Companion app:

  1. Open Settings on your iOS device.

  2. Scroll down and select Zwift.

  3. Ensure the Local Network is turned on.

You might also want to reboot your wireless router.

To make sure the Companion app isn’t connecting via mobile data instead of Wi‑Fi, try this:

  1. Close the Companion app.

  2. Turn off mobile data.

  3. Turn on Airplane Mode.

  4. Connect to your Wi‑Fi network.

  5. Launch the Companion app.

  6. Launch Zwift on a separate device.

FYI, there’s a new game update out today (1.97.2), so it’s worth updating after checking your network settings.

Tried your suggestions. Loaded new Zwift app. Map still won’t come up. Rebooted router first. Oth iPad and iPhone are on the same network. And local network is turned on in Zwift.
