All of a suddon Zwift is not connecting to Companion on Mac OS 15.4. I found a work around. Click on Zwift on the dock, click options and go to its library folder. Then sign in to the app manually so it opens directly through terminal. then companion works. Please fix this zwift!
I’m also running into this issue. I’ve tried re-installing both the Mac app and the iOS Companion app and I am still unable to connect.
Launching directly from the ZwiftLauncher-OSX
doesn’t work either.
MacOS: 15.3.2
Zwift Mac Game Version: 1.87.2 (143692)
Zwift Mac Launcher Version: 1.1.13
Companion: 3.68.2

Welcome to the forums! I’m Haziel from Zwift, and I truly understand your concerns about the connection between Zwift and the Zwift Companion app.
One common reason for this issue is that the device running Zwift and the one with the Companion app may not be on the same Wi-Fi network. If your router has both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, it’s worth checking to make sure both devices are connected to the same band.
Also, for iOS or macOS devices, another potential hiccup could be the “Local Network” permissions for the Zwift app. Sometimes toggling this setting off and back on can help clear up any complications.
If your phone is switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data, that could also create issues. You might want to turn off cellular data or put your phone in Airplane mode to rely solely on Wi-Fi.
If you’re still facing difficulties after trying these steps, I encourage you to check out the article on Issues with the Zwift Companion App. It covers some common problems and their solutions.
I truly hope this helps, and please don’t hesitate to contact us.
It’s working again after updating the companion app to 3.68.3
This happened to me today after installing the latest mac update and ios companion app.
I think this was due to Zwift not being in the list of apps in the mac “Settings>Privacy and Security>Local Network” setting. This gives permission to an app to communicate with other apps on your local network, which Zwift needs.
To resolve this I had to uninstall the Zwift app and delete the Zwift application support folder. I then downloaded and installed the latest version, which included a prompt asking for permission - select yes and Zwift will appear in the list.
I had that problem on my wife’s laptop recently, and I did not need to delete anything. Just ran the installer again and launched Zwift, got the permission prompt.
I had the same issue after a zwift update in the last week. Couldnt get the companion app to recognise zwift was running on the macbook. I tried resting the router, playing around with settings on wifi, the macbook and the iphone. Then fixed the issue by shutting down my laptop and restarting it. Started the zwift app on the laptop and I got a prompt to allow connection to other devices on the network and clicked yes. It’s now connecting fine.
