A great route you might add to the portal is Vesuvius, a legendary climb in Virginia that has the added benefit of an awesome name. It starts in the town of Vesuvius and ends on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Its 5k long with a 9% average gradient and 15% max gradient. It is part of the Transamerica bike route.
