Climb Portal attempt flagged in error [Spring Classics Challenge][March 2026]

Hi, I was doing the Spring Classics challenge. I was doing the Koppenberg climb and suddenly got a notice and a yellow triangle by my name. I had previously climbed two different challenge climbs just prior, as these were each short duration climbs. I was doing them at 50% elevation, as I hate climbing and only wanted to complete the challenge.

Now, that flagged yellow-icon remains by my name even after logging out. I was so annoyed with the implication that I had cheated, that I deleted the ride, in order to do it all over! Even still, the scarlet letter (yellow triangle) remains when I start a ride !! I did NOT cheat. I have a Zwift ride and never in years of riding it, have I had this happen. can someone please help.

Thank you,

It is starting to smell like a bug

Thanks for the reply Paul. It does sound like there’s a bug in the works. From your response and the others, I feel vindicated from the implication of PED use, watt manipulation or other means of deceit !

Hopefully they will smoosh the :beetle:

We had the same problem last year on one of the shorter Climb Portals. Also lots of Cones there. Looks like the same bug again they never fixed or didnt check the code this time.

Thanks the reply Peter ! I appreciate you responding to my post. Hopefully, it will get addressed so others don’t have to contend with the same issue.

Hello Folks,

I can confirm there have been a number of Zwifters getting flyer alerts or being flagged after completing the shorter portal roads available in the Spring Classics Challenge- Koppenberg, Patterberg, and Mur du Huy. Essentially, strong Zwifters may trigger the alert at a lower threshold than expected.

This is being addressed in a coming update. Once fixed, flyer detection will only fire for Zwifters putting out professional/superhuman levels of power or speed on these climbs.

Now do one that flags people who lose more than 5kg over night! The weight dopers should not be that hard to catch.

Another issue, I chose the Cauberg but it recorded as the Koppenberg. When I repeated the Cauberg, it even showed I was slower than my previous attempt. Then on strava, both the Cauberg and Koppenberg segments show. I think we have all seen that behavior before, as the coordinates fed to strava from the climb portal seem to overlap. But the issue of the ride recording in Zwift as a completely different route is new to me.
