Chain slipping

Hi , I have just purchased the new Zwift Ride with KICKR CORE , I believe that I have set it up correctly but every 3rd or 4th revolution the chain slips and makes the bike un-rideable , is there a fix for this ?, thanks any help would be appreciated

If the chain is slipping on the cog, need for derailleur adjustment or chain wear are the most likely causes

Thanks Paul , the bike is the new Zwift ride so it doesn’t have a derailleur as such but it does have a chain tensioner which should be a factory setting

Oh I’m sorry, I did not read carefully enough. You should probably talk to support.

No problem , Ive been trying but its easier said than done getting through to them , Ive managed to speak to a real person now so hopefully they will be able to advise

Hi @Steve_Morley, Welcome to the forums!
I’m Fernanda, from Zwift.

I appreciate that you contacted us via email to seek help with this issue. It’s great to see that you found a resolution with our support team!

Keep enjoying your rides!

Hi Steve,
I have the same Problem. Today the Zwift Ride arrived, Im sure everything is Set up correctly. but the Chain slips every time and and gets stuck. how did they helped you to solve it?

Hi Carolin , I took a video of what was happening and sent it to the zwift customer service team , after looking at it they sent me a replacement. They were very helpful and a new bike was sent out quickly. Hope you get it sorted

Awww that Sounds great… I wrote them yesterday… maybe they can replace it as well… its sad becaise its a gift….

Just curious as someone waiting for their zwift ride to come in. Did support say the cause for this to happen? Hoping this isn’t a common problem.

Hi Brandon,

Wrote them and sent them the Video but Nobody from the technical Support came back to me…. Very unstatisfying

Hi Carolin, you may have to wait a day or so due to different time zones , when they got to my issue they resolved it quickly

Probably slowed down by the US holiday, and also their backlog of support requests. Response times have been worse lately, but don’t keep emailing to follow up or you may delay your request unnecessarily.

But it was Thursday Night and now is Saturday Evening … its fully set up but I cant use it because of a bent chainring and slipping chain🙈

Sorry to hear that. It sucks. If you have a bike I would put that on the trainer and ride out the anger.

Great Idea… Hope they come back to me with a quick solution

Hi Steve,

I can Return the Frame and they sent my a new one… did you sent the handelbars and the saddle all together back ? Or just the Frame with the chain?

Hi carolin ,from memory they just sent the frame so I just swapped the handlebars and seat over and sent the old frame back. They will provide you with a shipping note so you just log onto FedEx and book a collection date for the frame you are sending back

I have the same problem, et no respond from de support… how can i join a real person ? (the virtual assistant is a real idiot…)

Email support@zwift.com if you haven’t done so already. Don’t send follow-up emails to chase them after the first email because doing so will put you further back in the queue. If you’re lucky, someone from support might see your post here and help you out as an alternative.
