Hello everyone,
I’m not sure where to ask this question, but I believe I have a fairly unique issue with my Zwift Ride.
When it was delivered a few months ago, the courier threw the package onto the sidewalk while I wasn’t home. When I got back, I found the box ripped open on the sidewalk, with no way to contact the courier. After getting over my frustration, I assembled the device, which seemed to be in working order… except for the chainring, which was bent.
Before contacting customer service, I tried to straighten it myself, and I managed to do so almost perfectly. Since then, I’ve ridden many kilometers on Zwift without any issues. However, I think the chainring remains fragile, and for the past few rides, the chain has started slipping on the chainring when I put out a lot of watts. The alignment is barely perfect, and I’m afraid it will keep happening.
Yes, I could contact customer service to see what can be done, but I didn’t want to do so initially because I was eager to use the Zwift Ride. And now, it feels almost too late, especially since I straightened the chainring myself.
I’m considering replacing the chainring, but no replacement parts are available in the shop. It seems fairly easy to remove, and the replacement would be straightforward and inexpensive.
What do you think? Any advice?
