Chain slip in Zwift Hub One (2024)

I just changed my bikes from an old Trek Valencia to a brand new Canyon Endurace… and when I really give it the beans (especially from still) I get chain slip… any idea how to manage / improve this?

I mean the bike is new, and the zwift cog only has around ~790 km it.

Any proposals? Should I tweak the position of the rear derailleur? It seems to be aligned well with the cog and makes no noise when moving

chain tension, or worn chain/cassette

Hi @Colin_Mann thanks for the submission! I’m Norman from Zwift. Do you have a Chain Stretch Gauge by any chance? If so I recommend checking if the chain is properly stretched, the tool is pretty inexpensive on eBay in case you’re interested.

I’d also double-check to see if the axle adapters are facing the right direction.

Also, some gears work better than others with the Zwift Cog, you can tell by how much noise it makes so try to find the sweetest spot.

Ride On.

Since the chain is new I assume we can rule that out as a factor. However if the old chain on the Trek is very worn or dirty that can accelerate wear on the cog. It might be worth checking how worn the old chain is. Honestly it is surprising that it would have that effect on it given the relatively low mileage. You might want to take the whole mess to a bike shop for evaluation.
