Can’t Ride, help!

Hi I can’t log in to my account on Zwift to ride can someone please help me? First it said

Whoa!
There was an error logging in with that ccount
OK

Now it’s the blue screen with the white Z and has different messages like “go get a towel” “socks or no socks” “click on a users name to watch them ride”

I don’t understand what the problem is

Can’t get an email back, the bot doesn’t help, there’s no number. I don’t know what to do.

I did that just not getting a response

I don’t know what the average response time is, but I’m sure it is not immediate.

Have you tried restarting everything?

Can you log into the account on the companion app, zwift website, zwiftpower?

Could also try Change User and log in again there

I did restart everything several times.. this started last night.
Logging in on Zwift companion works fine and then logging on Zwift on my phone as if I’m going to ride worked too. It’s on the tv that it’s not working I’ve never had this problem before

so is that an Apple TV?

Yes it is.

Have you tried deleting Zwift and reinstalling it?

And do you always force-close Zwift after every time you use it? If you just leave it running in the background then weird glitches can happen.

I haven’t tried deleting and reinstalling it that’s a good suggestion. I shouldn’t lose any of my history right?

I turn off the Apple TV when I’m done I honestly don’t even know how to close out Zwift I see no options for that. Which I realize sounds ridiculous. So maybe it’s just constantly running in the background?

Here is what AI says about force closing apps

To force quit an app on your Apple TV, double-click the TV/Home button on your remote, navigate to the app you want to close, and then swipe up on the touch surface or click the up arrow twice.
Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
Open the App Switcher: Double-click the TV/Home button on your Siri Remote.
Navigate to the App: Swipe left or right to find the app you want to close.
Force Quit: Swipe up on the touch surface or double-click the up arrow to close the selected app.

No you wont lose anything

I do that with the tv that Zwift isn’t on but for some reason the tv that’s the issue doesn’t allow me to do that. Maybe the tv and/or the Apple TV is outdated and I need to upgrade?

I don’t know, I’m not an Apple TV expert? I would think if it can run Zwift then it should be fine. Try reinstalling Zwift and see if that clears up the error.

What model of ATV are you on? You should always be able to force quit any app, though, regardless of ATV model. Which type of remote does it have?

Hi @Hailey_Guild
Shuji at Zwift HQ. I also Zwift on AppleTV.

Yes - according to this description, it’s very likely that’s what’s happening.

As a first step, please restart your Apple TV. There’s several ways to do that. Pushing the power button on the remote is only putting it Sleep. That’s not the same thing.

Please get in the habit of force-closing the Zwift app after you save-and-exit your session. Here’s how. This is different than swiping an app into the background, which leaves the app running.

Would you try those things and see if that helps make the random-seeming gremlins go away?
