Can a route be ridden in the opposite driection?

Did some searching but did not find this question. I am wondering if I choose a route for a free ride, when I start the ride can I push the U-turn button and then ride the route in the reverse direction? Or would I no longer be considered to be riding the route when I U-turn? Will the game keep me on the route even though I am riding it backwards???

no, you will have officially left the route if you pull a u-turn. The game will not automatically put you on the reverse route, you would have to know where to make the manual turns.

Hi, @J_Roiter_TT1D_R3_D_D , welcome to Forums! I’m Francisco from Zwift Support.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with the community!

When you’re enjoying a ride in Zwift, whether you’re free-riding or working out, you have the option to perform a U-turn on most routes! Just keep in mind that there are some situations, like during events or meetups, where you won’t be able to make a U-turn. If you decide to U-turn to repeat a segment, don’t forget that you won’t earn extra Power-Ups for going through the same arch too many times in a short span.

You can’t perform a U-turn if you’re going under 3mph (~5 kph) and your U-turn may be delayed if there are Zwifters trying to pass you.

You’ll slow down to 15mph (~21kph) before making the turn.
