Cadence drops with Wahoo Kickr Core and Apple TV

Hello there,

my gf has her Kickr Core connected to the Apple TV 4K via the companion app. We experienced some slight problems with the cadence going up hills.

She usually keeps a cadence between 75 and 95, on flats or up the hills. During the Tour for All her cadence kept dropping to 30-45 when going up a climb, even though she in fact did not pedal any slower than before.

Then, all of a sudden, it is back up to 85 for a few seconds, just to drop to 40 again. It is annoying as the watts decrease as well and she gets overtaken constantly.

Tis just happens during climbs, not on flats.

Is someone having the same issues and maybe can help?

Cheers

Daniel

Hi @Daniel_Be, try force closing Zwift and power cycling the apple tv and the trainer. When was the last time you did a spindown calibration on the Kickr using the Wahoo utility app?

Last spin down was on the weekend. And I usually do one at least once a week.

What do you mean by power cycling? Okay, got it…

Will try later…

Thank you!

turn it off, wait a minute, turn it back on. It is also a good idea to do that same with your wifi router and modem.
