Bluetooth unstable after update

Has anyone had problems with the latest update to Zwift? I had not ridden since last Friday (4/11), and this morning (4/18)Zwift updated before my ride. And for the first time ever I had many bluetooth dropouts between my Garmin Fenix watch which I use for heartrate and Zwift. Several times during my Zwift session I would lose heart rate for minutes at a time before reconnecting. I’m running Zwift on a PC, no changes in equipment or location, and the watch is fully charged and working as usual.

no issues for me with bluetooth, drop the log file from your ride this morning into zwiftalizer.com and that can help show how many bluetooth dropouts you had.

Hi @Ian_Dickerson1

This is Haziel from Zwift. I completely understand your concern that you are experiencing with the Bluetooth dropouts, especially when everything else seems to be functioning smoothly.

To help you out, I recommend making sure that your Garmin Fenix watch has the latest firmware updates. Sometimes, keeping your devices up to date is key for the best performance with Zwift.

It might also be helpful to disconnect your Garmin watch from Zwift and then re-pair it. This simple step can often refresh the connection and help resolve those dropouts.

Additionally, Bluetooth signals can sometimes be affected by other devices or Wi-Fi signals in the area. If possible, try turning off any nearby Bluetooth devices and ensure that your PC is positioned close to your watch. Please check this article for more information.

Lastly, restarting your PC, Garmin watch, and Zwift app can clear up any temporary glitches that may be causing issues.

If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

I’m not sure I’m reading the data correctly, but Zwiftalyzer only shows 7 dropouts around the 8 minute mark, when in fact they were distribukted throughout the ride.

The Garmin Connect data file shows no dropouts in heartrate detection durnig this time.

if you can post some screen shots, we might be able to help

Thanks for the help. I’d post a link but it seems not to be allowed. However, if you went to the zwiftalyzer site in the public section, the file is 6001645b-be2b-4fc5-a8e8-7cf168ed9f28 .

I can only seem to view the first 8 minutes of the 1 hour ride.
