zwift installed on the windows pc bluetooth does not detect my tacx flux. With other applications I don’t have this problem
fyi: on windows, bluetooth (any class -I tried them all) has never worked well with Zwift for me… Ant+ with a tacx antenna works flawlessly.
A USB Bluetooth dongle on an extension cable often works better than built-in Bluetooth. Also make sure the trainer is not paired to some other app already, such as the Tacx app you would use to calibrate it and update the firmware (which you should do but make sure it’s disconnected from the trainer afterwards).
I also always had problems with Zwift and bluetooth, while other devices and applications (including 2 other cycling games) work fine. I have a MacBook and Apple is known for its poor bluetooth connection, so I don’t know if on Windows the problem is the same, but this procedure works reliably for me:
- Turn off bluetooth on the phone (and other bluetooth-capable devices in proximity)
- Turn off bluetooth on the pc
- Start Zwift
- On the device pairing screen, turn pc bluetooth on → it finds the devices in seconds
If I start Zwift with bluetooth on, usually there is no way to recover the connection on the paring screen. Turning off and on bluetooth does not help, I need to restart Zwift (with bluetooth off).
Good luck!
