Looking for some advice. I’ve been using Zwift on ATV 4k and the companion app to connect my kickr core and controllers for around a month hassle free.
This morning I couldn’t get my devices connected either via the app or just trying to connect the trainer itself directly to ATV without the app. It just gets stuck on the connecting screen. Everything is logged into the same WiFi network.
My devices are connecting to the companion app no problem. I ended up reinstalling both zwift on ATV and the app on my phone but that hasn’t resolved the issue. All firmware is up to date.
I ended up using my daughters iPAD with no issues.
Aside from doing a factory reset of the ATV I’m not sure what else to try and would appreciate any advice you might have.
I usually run it through the companion app to get past the 1 BT connection issue but it wasn’t connecting via the app or if I shut my phones BT off and tried to just connect the trainer directly to the ATV. I’m going to have a play around with it just now and see if I can get it working.
So was playing around with it just now, the only thing I hadn’t tried was force stopping the app, I shouldn’t have had to as I reinstalled it this morning. Anyway I forced stopped it and everything connected first time via the companion app, typical when I’m not riding again till tomorrow morning. If the fix was as simple as that I’ll be amazed, spent an hour this morning trying to fix it before giving up. Fingers crossed it fires up first time for my early morning session. Will keep you posted.
I’ve been having AppleTV issues lately, but more with dropouts and latency (change gear and wait 5 seconds for it to happen in game).
I’m suspecting (hoping) that it’s WiFi interference because my ATV has connected at 2.4GHz, and I might be able to fix that by connecting at 5GHz, leaving 2.4GHz free for the Bluetooth items.
