Apple TV defaults to BT, not Wahoo Direct Connect

I use Apple TV 4K for Zwift, along with a KickrV5 and Wahoo Direct Connect.
When the pairing screen comes up, it shows my Kickr as power, resistance & cadence.
When I select any of those to open the connections, BT is chosen over DirCon, so I have to go through & select manually. This isn’t much of a nuisance, but it would be nice if DirCon was the default connection.
Is there a known way to fix this?

Have you tried deleting the app and reinstalling it? Or doing a factory reset?

Deleted/reinstalled.
No change.

Not a big issue, just a nuisance.
