Apple TV crash at startup, tvOS 18.3 | [January 2025]

Most times when trying to start a ride, Zwift will crash twice before I am able to select a ride and start riding. The first time might be when I’m at the screen to select a world, then the next crash will be upon startup. Then finally I’m able to make everything work. This has been going on for the last several updates to Zwift.

Hi, still happens as in today with last ATV SW installed and ZWIFT May update.

Ride on.

Hi, my zwift is increasingly crashing and throwing me out when I go from the login screen to the main page, then select a ride. It then crashed me back to the login page.

Anyone else getting this? I’m using Apple TV and the app is fully updated, andrebooted regularly

Thanks and ride on!

I’ve seen this reported many times recently, I’m not sure there is a solution yet. I would contact support to make an official report support@zwift.com

Thanks Mike, I’ve never used the forum before so didn’t know where to start. In a selfish way I’m glad I’m not the only one!

I’ll copy and paste this to the address you’ve attached.

Thanks again

Please report all issues with ATV to Zwift Support. They are aware of the issue and keep telling me they are working on a solution - the more we complain hopefully the faster the resolution!

it isn’t happening to all Apple TV users however, so something must be unique to your situation. Perhaps it is a certain generation of Apple TV or some configuration that is causing the crashes and likely they are having a hard time reproducing it.

It certainly isn’t “unique” it is being reported by increasing numbers of ATV users. Glad it’s not affecting you so unsure why you’re commenting.

I do what i want

I have a similar problem. 4th Gen ATV/Model A1625 - auto update/currently 18.4.1. Ride faithfully 3 or 4 times a week. Issue started about 3 or 4 months ago and has been getting worse with multiple crashes before actually starting. ATV was purchased five years ago. Hate to think that it’s no longer supported. C’mon Zwift, what’s going on here?
