Apple Passwords Popups in MacOS During Activities

in the past week or two (not sure if it’s correlated to an update or not) I’ve been getting “Passwords is Locked” popups in MacOS during rides, as though a request to the OS password manager was being made. I have not observed any of these popups at unexpected times when not Zwifting.

ZwiftAppSilicon v1.84.0 (140665)
MacOS v15.3.1

Repro steps:

  1. Ensure “AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys” is enabled in MacOS Settings → Autofill & Passwords, and Passwords is enabled under “AutoFill from”
  2. Launch Zwift
  3. Skip device pairing (not required for repro)
  4. Start a free ride activity
  5. Wait ~5 minutes, popup should appear within this time, probably sooner

Repro rate: 100%

I tried your repro steps on macOS 15.3.1 and didn’t get the pop-up :man_shrugging:

What Zwift version are you using? I may have also missed a verification in settings – Passwords (and maybe only Passwords?) should be enabled in AutoFill & Passwords

I closed all apps and now can no longer repro, so could be an interaction issue. I’ll update if/when I’m able to determine what other processes need to be running to repro
