A new customers and multiple cogs

About a month ago I decided to buy a Zwift Ride: used it for a couple of days and since been trapped between a rock (Wahoo customer support) and a hard stone (Zwift customer support).

  1. Kickr Core noisy
  2. Send an audio to Wahoo
  3. They replace it
  4. Send me the wrong item (a Kickr Core with freehub and no Zwift Cog)
  5. After almost a week of nothing, I contact Zwift
  6. They send me a Zwift Cog with MultiTrainer Free Hub
  7. Without telling me how to remove the freehub from the Kickr Core
  8. (2 weeks later after 4) Wahoo sends me the “other” Cog
  9. But I don’t have a lock ring tool
  10. Still can’t ride

I wonder if anybody can answer a couple of questions:

  1. Which of the 2 cogs should I install? Is one better than the other?
  2. If I go for Cog at point 6, how do I remove the freehub from the Kickr Core? (Zwift Support told me to take it to a cycling shop)
  3. Should have I received a lock ring tool?

Thanks for your help

Andrea

The orange Zwift Cog multi-trainer version has installation instructions here:

That’s the easiest one to install.

The lockring tool is not included, that’s something you would need to obtain separately, or ask a bike shop to do it.

In the end I have installed the Cog without the freehub.

Not sure I really got the 5 Nm right (must have done a lot less), but it seems to work.
