A Loch jn Scotland

A few weeks/months ago, I was attracted to a ride around a loch in Scotland. I enjoyed the ride and the scenery. Now I can’t find it anywhere in Watopia or elsewhere. Any ideas where I can find it and ride it again?

Thanks,
Chris

Loch loop? Its in thw scotland world.

Which is not available every day, outside of workouts and meet ups. Check the World Calendar to find when it is next available.

Thanks Mike! Seems lame on Zwift’s part. The code is done, why not offer it to everyone? Are we not paying enough per month?

Again - thanks Mike for your quick response.

You can still access it anytime you want, see Nigel_Tufnel’s response

Awesome! Thanks Steve!

Thanks Mike!

I used Method#4 and it adds Scotland, which is great but I loose Watopia! So when adding world 13 according to method #4 I see only 3 worlds Scotland, Innsbruck and Richmond. Reverting back I see only Watopia, Innsbruck and Richmond. If I add world 1 (watopia) to the list that Incudes Scotland, I still get either or - never both. Should the hack work if I list both? Or do I have to choose between Watopia and Scotland?

Doesn’t My List let you ride any world?

David, when I add even one of the worlds, I lose watopia. After adding World 13 to the prefs file, sign into the app and go into Routes, I get only 3 choices. If I add Scotland or Paris, etc. I get one of those choices plus Innsbrook and Richmond. I do not know where Innsbrook and Richmond originally came from - I didn’t add them. So, no matter what I do, I’m limited to those two and one other. I never see more than 3 worlds at a time in Routes.

My list is not a hack but a feature they added in May. See Plan Upcoming Workouts and Routes with Zwift’s New “My List” Feature | Zwift Insider. You can choose routes to do in the companion app.

I’m pretty sure this enables you to plan a route on any world and then choose to ride that route regardless of the set worlds. No need to hack anything.

Just to clarify, I am referring to Method 4 in the article “Four Ways TO Ride (almost) Any Zwift Course At Any Time”. I am using Method # 4. My questions relate to that method. Thanks.

I am using a PC/tablet with my hub. I seldom even access my phone and the companion app. If I add the worlds using the companion app, will those additions also show up on the PC?

Yes but you are not adding the world, just a route in the world.

But you can go off-piste if you want.

Sorry I do not know what that means.

I hope to clarify my questions below:

  1. I have tried to use Method 4 in the “Four ways…” post and I have described the limitations - I only see 3 worlds, 2 of which I have not chosen. When I add a new world, Watopia is no longer an option. For anyone with experience using Method #4 in the “Four Ways…” article, I’d love to hear from you on this question. That is; can I make method #4 work by adding Worlds and not losing Watopia?

2, I understand that there is a way to add rides (not Worlds) in the companion app on the phone. I can confirm this works on the phone but I do not use my phone when training. I use a laptop/tablet. Nothing I add in the companion app on my phone shows up on my PC/tablet. I would love to hear from someone familiar with this solution who can advise me how to get “My List” , with the added rides to my PC/tablet which I use for Zwift rides.

Thanks!

As the video in the link I shared demonstrates, when you add a route to My List in the companion app, that route will show in the For You list in the PC app home screen. You do not need to have the companion running at the same time.

If you haven’t watched the video please do since it should answer your question.

Off-piste is a term used in skiing (and by extension elsewhere) meaning to go off the set route. In this case, once you’re on the route in the world you want you can just go anywhere by choosing the turns you want.

David, thanks so much for your patience! I had read the article but had not noticed the video. It indeed answers my question. I will go back to the prefs file and undo the “hack”. The feature you described is all I need. Thanks again!
