2026 Zwift Wishlist

  1. More levels. I been on 100 for absolutely donkies
  2. More HUD customization. I mostly have HUD off as just too much clutter on the screen but would be nice to select a few things to display
  3. More longer pace partner routes, 40km plus. I cannot stand the short loops, so boring

I unusually had a weight drop today that was 1.1Kg lower than yesterday, but two evenings ago I drank a lot more squash than normal, which I expect made the daily weight change more pronounced than normal… It’s the first time I can recall my daily weight changing more than 1Kg in recent years.

I’ll be amazed if I’m still 90.xKg tomorrow because I unusually did a ~55min TT at my limits last night and quite possibly I’m still a bit dehydrated today.

Updating your weight in Companion app, even when you aren’t doing Zwift in the summer, only takes 1min max to update.

There’s no good excuse to suddenly dropping or increasing your weight by 5Kg or more, there’s several racers I’m aware of who claim to have lost ~10Kg in the last two months with sudden changes, when they were only ~50Kg to begin with.

Less of an issue for riders, but racers should have much stricter limits on weight and height changes.

We can’t even see such changes for racers not registered on zwiftpower, as far as I’m aware, even with the recent update at Tim’s zwiftracing.app

  1. More control over my data and what I choose to share
  2. HUD customization, ie remove unwanted clutter
  3. Improve/refine/tweak features that have already been released (several eg. above)

I guess I have two categories of things, small quality of life changes, and bigger feature sets.

For small quality of life changes I would want:

  1. Time filter in companion: A filter in the companion app that lets me show events for a certain time range - so I don’t have to scroll through all events from midnight to when I can ride the next day.

  2. A draft indicator I can add to the HUD to show draft percentage.

  3. Slightly less “Dynamic” robopacers, they can have some pace changes, but I’m usually looking for less power swings on hills and descents, and definitely have them drop back closer to target power during longer climbs.

For larger features I would want:

  1. Adaptive training plans/suggestions to rival Trainer Road/Xert based on my goals. Not random recommendations.

  2. A “limited” user account which would be a second or third account which would be pretty inexpensive I could use for my family members who will only ride a couple times a month - therefore not worth anywhere close to full subscription price.

  3. Favorites: Enable the ability to add workouts, pacers, routes, event types, weekly events, to your favorites list, and have those items all easily accessible front and center in the main menu.

Features that I see others request a lot I believe they should look into more though not specifically for me are clubs, customizable HUD, and fixing ZRS (maybe add the ability for dynamic pens, or other race types as another option as part of this).

LOL, yeah ain’t gonna do that. No one should be made a daily slave to a phone app just because they might want to ride their bike indoors again in a few weeks or months.

And yet a number of racers set their weight years ago in Zwift and haven’t changed it once.

That’s just as rubbish as those who add and subtract 5Kg+ in one go.

I don’t check my weight daily. It doesn’t fluctuate much when I do.
I have not updated my weight in Zwift for years.
But then again I don’t do races, at least not many. When I do, I sure am not competitive because I really don’t care that much.

  1. be able to sell back / trade in old frames and wheels in the garage. Would love get my hands on new items like the Brompton but all my sweat drops are going towards upgrades and Halo unlock.

  2. more levels (without another XP debacle)

  3. ability to filter events by time in ZCA so I’m not scrolling for ages to find out what I can attend. I know there is excellent filtering on Zwift Hacks but I find it slow on mobile, and I shouldn’t have to go to another site to get that information. Toggle for rubberbanded events in ZCA would be ace.

They all should have stricter controls - especially on big segments like Ventop, Epic KOM and ADZ. I’ve lost count of the number of times a sub 40kg person has been doing repeated KOMs on ADZ day after day. And worse, they magically go downhill at 100km/h+.

Supposedly they were always dropped on hills, so it was necessary to do that. Well yesterday Constance was getting dropped every time (by 10 seconds or more) on the uphill bridge climb on the Sugar Cookie route, so the w/kg increase needs to be even more to prevent that. Steady robopacers are never coming back I think. More than 100 people voted for lighter robopacers and that got buried - never happened.

Also noticed yesterday, you could go ahead of Constance (keep the gap about 4m) and with the draft effect could launch that robopacer away from the pack and get 3 seconds gap between the robopacer and the following riders. Very easy to do, multiple people were doing it.

The following pack would have to do 6w/kg to chase back or risk being dropped completely. Not nice for the people who wanted a steadier ride.

I’ve noticed this has gotten worse since the increase in seasonal riders. I don’t understand why people want to ride faster than the pacer they chose, there are other faster ones… go ride with them :man_shrugging:

I’ve seen folks answer that question with “it’s fun!” or “go have a cry if you don’t like it”.

You can definitely mess with the speed of the robopacer by going a bit faster and holding station about 4m ahead of it. Something should be done to prevent it. It’s most obvious on false flat sections with the very fast robopacer groups.

It’s a little game they play to disrupt the robopacer groups. The teleporters doing their teleports over and over (to scam distance) also mess up the group - they push people out of the draft and interfere with the normal flow of the group. This is very bad at the moment with the Constance group. Interesting they seem to join at the same time.

I don’t ever ride ahead of the pacers, but it doesn’t make sense to complain about people who do in my opinion. If someone wants to do some form of intervals where half the time they are pulling, half the time they are behind them, that’s up to them.

There’s no reason to make someone feel bad if they want to sit ahead of a pace partner. If Zwift wanted the partners to not be affected by draft they would put them on TT bikes.

My take is they want the convenience of picking a ride at any time of day, drop into a large group, and then ride however they want with complete freedom. The next faster pacer may be more power than they want to sustain, or there is no faster pacer, or they want the freedom to easily sit on the front and not chase after it or struggle with pack dynamics. I don’t think pacers come with any rules about behavior and I have my doubts about that ever happening. It’s a free ride with a robot somewhere nearby.

This is my number two wish for 2026. Robopacers on TT bikes would make them much more useful and flatten out the pace for everyone.

Number One wish for 2026: Give us the option to turn off name tags above the avatars. In a big group, they block the useful visuals and in races they block important information. We’ve been asking for this for the last six years without a single response from ZHQ. Come on boys and girls, it’s time…

Number 1- finer controls for sounds and visuals. Let me choose to hide names, icons, hud elements, whatever other visuals. And same with sounds, at least split out the countdown timers from the other game sounds.

Number 2- change pace groups to be based on a formula similar to ZRS seed, rather than w/kg with a watt floor. This is for racing and free riders. Current pace groups create confusion about why some people have no chance of keeping up with others in the same group.

Number 3- put the pace partners on TT bikes. It will make the group speed more consistent which is a huge benefit for those who are struggling to keep up and get left behind when the pace gets pushed up and small gaps form in the group.

I thought that made things more exciting, definitely not a struggle.

This exactly, but unlikely to happen, we are stuck with the dynamic pacing that everyone loves.

There’s nothing stopping the RPs from being on TT bikes and still having dynamic pacing. Just saying.

But they won’t have that extra-dynamic pace and surging that everyone seems to enjoy. Folks won’t be able to launch the robopacer quicker and split the bunch like they do now with the fastest groups.

Benefit is the robopacer won’t have the pace surges, the folks who want to go faster will just ride away and won’t have the robot following them.

if the robopacer is on a tt bike and no one else is wouldn’t they just pull the whole group away from the pacer if they upped the pace?

And the power required to stay with the pacer in a group would be a lot lower than advertised
