Mid-ride my watts spiked and hit 0 on kickr snap. Was climbing at a relaxed rate. Everything connects and I’ve tried resetting and reconnecting and going from Bluetooth to phone but same problem. I have rpms but no watts.
Hi @D_Filkowski_DMC_Team, Welcome to the forums!
Can you try closing Zwift and companion app, and then opening the wahoo app on your phone to see if that registers power/watts to rule out the trainer malfunctioning?
If it works in the Wahoo app then we can try and pinpoint why it isn’t reading power in Zwift. Make sure to close down the wahoo app and force close it after to make sure it doesn’t hang onto the signal from the trainer.
FYI, I am not official support, just a helpful user like yourself.
Hi @D_Filkowski_DMC_Team, welcome to the forums!
I’m Fernanda from Zwift!
I can see that you get awesome tips from @Mike_Rowe1, he is right in all his suggestions! Just to put my two cents of help here, as you are using an Apple TV, I recommend you to force-close Zwift every time you finish an activity to avoid connection issues in the future, for steps on how to force close the App in your Apple TV check here.
Also, I can see you reach our support team! That’s great! Let us know if the updates of the App and the KICKR SNAP help!
Keep us posted.
Problem solved and the quick responses greatly appreciated!!!
Because we’ve had good outdoor riding weather, I haven’t been on my trainer / Zwift in a few months. New iPhone in the meantime meant the Wahoo App needed to come back from the cloud and reconnect to my trainer (Wahoo Kickr). I went through the Wahoo App to connect to the trainer and had watts again there. I used the Wahoo app to calibrate the trainer and updated the Zwift App also.
Apple TV reconnected to Zwift through the companion app and there were no further issues.
I will look at the force close tip!
Thanks again. I’m back to being a happy Zwifter!
