Just one more sign of the end of the world as we know it etc. etc.
I wrote Zwift Support about my unhappiness with a feature change. Hey, Zwift can’t always change every little thing just because one user wants it, so I never expected them to snap to attention just because I spoke up.
But what I got back was:
A) A response created by an AI bot that sounded like a third-rate therapist. (“It sounds like you are unhappy about a feature change…”
B) Even worse, a second reply from Zwift: Are you satisfied with the support you received?
You mean was I satisfied that a human had not read my note, and that I received a reply from a bot, mimicking what I just stated?
Ugh!
Yeah… that kind of “support experience” feels less like help and more like being stuck in a customer‑service funhouse mirror.
I totally get why it rubbed you the wrong way. When you take the time to write thoughtful feedback, the last thing you want is a bot parroting your own words back at you like it just discovered feelings. And then getting the “How did we do?” follow‑up… oof. Salt in the wound.
AI responses can be useful for simple stuff, but this is exactly the kind of situation where you want a real human to at least skim what you wrote and acknowledge it with something that feels genuine.
You’re not wrong — it’s disappointing, and Zwift definitely missed the mark here. Hopefully they figure out a better balance between automation and actual support, because the current setup clearly isn’t winning any hearts.

Hah! I love that at end end of your kind note it states, “written by AI”. Touche!

About a month ago I sent a ticket about a pretty major bug (which can be easily exploited to win races or rack up endless XP) and I got the AI bot response (which, to it’s credit summarised the issue and said it would forward it to a human). I also got the are you satisfied email (well, of course I’m not satisfied with just a “we’ve received your bug report” email from an AI) but have heard nothing since about resolving the bug.
I’ll check if the bug is fixed in the next update and if not I may publish it publicly.
