Zwift with bkool pro: resistance/missing power & calories

I have just purchased a 2nd hand Bkool Pro trainer and I am trying to use it with Zwift.
I can connect my windows laptop to the trainer but …

  1. the ‘no load’ resistance feels like 150 watts or more.
  2. power and calories are both reported on screen to be 0.
    Speed and distance are OK.
(Same symptoms with the Bkool simulator software too).
    Any ideas?
    Many thanks,
    Mike

Hi Mike,

How are you pairing the Bkool trainer? As a controllable trainer? And are you on the latest firmware?

Fire up your BKool sim and check the firmware (settings…about). What version does it have? I believe it has to be at least v3.06 to work with the new protocol and hence work properly on Zwift.

Thanks to you both for your comments.

Bkool connected to my computer hence to the trainer.  Seems only one instalment has been paid on it so Bkool had disabled it.

Nothing to be done except return it to the ebay vendor who has committed to covering my costs (but not time!).

Story is the trainer was sold at an HMRC repossession auction.

C’est la vie!

Mike
