If you’re logged in to The at Home Cycling & Running Virtual Training App, you should be able to sign up via the specific web page for that event. Would you send me the URL for an upcoming event that doesn’t allow this?
I tried it on this particular event, and it worked as it should. I clicked on the + sign next to the B group ride, and it resulted in a check mark to indicate that I’m registered for it.
I can register via web as you mentioned or via the Companion app, but once I open the PC App to start riding, I am not listed on the event (in the list of events at the right of the home screen) and if I click JOIN nothing happens.
I tried to start riding to see if maybe the auto-join request would appear but it didnt.
In short, I can register to the event via web or Companion app, but then I cant join the event.
I was under the impression this wasn’t strictly necessary - that you should be able to sign up for a specific stage and that would automatically register you for the entire event. But would you try the links I added above to see if this fixes it for you?
You may have to close the game app, and log in again after you register.
For Tour of X events in Zwift, registering for a specific stage usually auto-registers you for the Tour overall. It is possible that was not the case for this Tour (am discussing with my colleagues), and we regret the confusion it caused.
Hi @shooj I just read this thread and realized what might have been my issue. I had stage 4 left for completing all stages and did it today. After finishing the short race (D group, 28km), I kept on riding in an easy pace and stopped at 44km.
Now my stage 4 is still pending in zwift (The at Home Cycling & Running Virtual Training App), but I’ve got the results in my companion and in my profile. I opened an issue earlier, but perhaps you can fix it, as it looks I am not the first one experiencing this. I did not change maps, just went on riding downhill until i reached the starting point.
